I haven't watched SCD as long as loads of you but I'm well used to seeing Len's nasty side now. I think it is genuine and he's not the cheerful old father figure he seems to want us to think he is.
I don't think Saturday's outburst was any worse than what we've seen before and on its own probably isn't reason to see him pensioned off, but he has a habit of doing this. I particularly remember him being horrid to Natalie Gumede telling her that she'd put herself in jeopardy one week and of course, there was the Trent incident last year. Sod off Len, you're not the only person in the world who knows how to judge ballroom dancing! |

I think you see glimpses of the 'real' Len every now and then. He's considered to be Mr Nice Guy but he's not. Yes, Giovanni shouldn't have shook his head but couldn't Len have said something to him after the show? He was meant to talk about Georgia's dancing, perhaps offer her some advice on things to work on and instead he snapped at Giovanni then basically said it wasn't a well choreographed routine, no mention on Georgia at all and she looked like she wanted the ground to swallow her up poor girl!
Personally, I think all the judges took it pretty easy on Anton considering what a colossal mess his routine was. The problem for him is, he is pretty much used to showcasing himself as most of his previous partners (bar Laila Rouass who did show some promise in ballroom) have two left feet so he'd had to choreograph routines which feature him doing most of the dancing whilst his partner stands around or flies in from the rafters. I can't help but feel that if it were one of the new boys or possibly someone like Brendan who'd choreographed a routine like that they'd all have been extremely louder and forceful with their complaints considering Anton clearly has a partner who has massive potential if she is given the right stuff to work with. |

All the judges are given a persona they have to adopt (Craig - panto villain, Bruno - clown, Darcy - the kind one, Len - kindly father figure who gets het up if people break the ballroom rules).
