There is a very nasty streak to Len and it's time he went.
Agree. He's a cantankerous old git with a limited vocab, little intellect, zero interest in the real dance world, who only knows about ballroom circa 1950 and nothing else - and has an ego the size of China.

It's 2015 and he is past it. Time to go and play golf or something.

Scathing, but accurate

I voted yes please, because I can't stand the big headed old git, he thinks far too much of himself, and he can be incredibly rude, bordering on boorish.

If you look at Bruno whilst Len was giving his feedback you can see Giovanni was still communicating with Bruno - maybe shaking his head, but he was out of shot so couldn't see.

Must have been really irritating for Len to give feedback, but the professional wasn't listening.

Yes, because I think the judging panel needs some new blood. Whether it's Len that goes I don't know (but I'd rather it was him or Darcey, because for me their comments are pretty dispensable - I think if Craig or Bruno left, there'd be a serious gap in the panel). If Katie is Anton's retirement present, I'd like to see him fill the Len spot. And try get Erin back to take Darcey's spot, guaranteed chemistry, I'd be sorted.

I've only watched ITT this year and have realised how much I like Karen and her analysis. So much so I'd quite like her to take over if/when Len ever leaves. I wouldn't mind Anton either as long as he took it seriously and gave constructive advice rather than cracking jokes the whole time.

No. Unless they replace him with someone with the same gravitas.

What I'd like is for the pros be able to cast their own votes. Average their scores and let them be the "fifth" judge. I wonder if, say, Brendon would give Anita and Gleb a 2 for an 8 dance, just to bring their overall score down. Let these pros and judges fight it out as well.

Len is fine I would be happy for him to stay around for a few more SERIES.

If a judge was to go I would prefer Bruno to go, the constant standing and shouting is annoying me.

No. Overall I think he is a good judge. Now Darcy!! I wish she would go. I find her biased against some women, and she's like a limpet all over Len.

Edit - And take Tess Daly with her.

Only if he is replaced by someone who knows as much about the technicalities of the dances and is someone with a proven track record in competition Latin & Ballroom...not another ballet dancer...nor another musical/show dancer/choreographer.
Totally agree. I have nothing against Darcy or the others, but at least ONE judge needs to care about specifically Latin and Ballroom or I fear that we'd get even less recognisable dances than we do now. Ian Waite or Karen Hardy would be ideal. Maybe Anton if he steps down as a pro though after THAT cha cha he should really be out on his ear!

Plenty wrong with Goodman but there are others who are even more tedious, like you Winkleberry is horrible, as bad as anything on BBC and that really is saying something.

Out of all of them I feel Len should go, and maybe its time for Bruno to leave too. People are complaining that Len was rude to Giovanni, but is it rude to pick up on someone who seems to not be listening to the Judges and seems to think himself above them? That's how Giovanni came across to me. He is a smug idiot trying to make up for Strictly losing Vincent (who is irreplaceable to my way of thinking). Could Len have been more diplomatic about it, yes, he could of. But we know from the past that Len doesn't care if he offends a Pro if he feels they aren't paying attention to his wisdom. But talking of rude, Bruno is just as bad. He can be VERY insulting to contestants with his witticisms and over the top theatrics.

I think Len should be replaced by some younger blood, someone all the Pro's would listen to. Someone they feel is on par with them and who they can look up to as having gone through what they go through. Len's time on the dance floor has long past and they probably all feel he is past his sell by date which is why he has problems getting a few to listen to him. Also his remarks go from scathing to some younger contestants to 'well you came out and gave it your all!' comments to older people, as if he doesn't like to offend people closer to his age. When he does this to dancers who look terrible out on the floor it really pickles my walnuts.

Darcy I can take or leave but at least she has a LOT of experience to back her up. Out of them all Craig is my favourite because say what you will about the man he gives concise reviews of the dance and gives constructive criticism. Luckily I think most of the contestants realise this and take it on board now a days so they can improve.

Let the idiots at BBC towers decide lens fate. In fairness the BBC don't know what we actually want, their hands are so tied with bringing in the ratings that they forget what we actually want. BBC have been too cynical as they feel another person wouldn't bring in the ratings, however I think the director general has looked at how many followers len has on twitter and decided that he shouldn't be replaced. Then again the director general is a conservative so what would you expect?

I expect heads to roll at BBC and whether or not len does decide to go will be up to him and not them. To me there isn't the feel good factor that SCD has had in the past. It's all about money now and whether or not BBC can make a short term profit of what they can make out of and an unethical profit too.

Had enough of BBC protecting len all of the time, like he's their golden boy or something. Len pissed me off at the weekend so much that I went to OFCOM. Hope this is a lesson to the production team that they are mucking up and although TXF has lower ratings it feels like a better run show. I think big boss louise rainbow is so greedy with ratings that the quality of the show deteriorates and things get messy.

That's exactly what I think. I bet they give Len instructions to go after certain pros, .....

It's related to where they've got the particular pro on their storyboard. .....

If I'm right, it doesn't bode well for Giovanni. HOWEVER, it could simply be a general strategy to make the show more interesting, a la Simon Cowell or Craig's deadpan insults of dances at times - "it was a cha cha disahster...." Or it could even be a good sign for Gio - as they might be trying to set him up as a new "bad boy of the ballroom" with his recalcitrance, a la Brendan or James (or Maks in the US).

Wouldn't this be a more boring show if the judges always gave their polite constructive criticism .... We want sparks to fly, sometimes....
The pantomine element of Strictly is important, though I doubt it's manipulated to extremes.

...... I imagine it's something like quantum physics (the extremely vague understanding I have of quantum physics, that is) - for every action there's a proportionate reaction,........
That's basic Newtonian physics,Quantum physics is some guy called Schrodinger trying to decide if his cat is dead.
