The curse of the Cha Cha Cha
A lot of them were poor tonight, not just Anton's. Maybe mixing movie themes and Cha Cha Cha does not work.

Cha cha is the least exciting of any dance, I think. The only ones I can remember from other series are Alesha + Matt's, and Mark and Iveta's.
To me, the steps are just 'mince forward, mince back, mince in a semi-circle, frot partner. Repeat ad nauseam. Look smug, particularly at the end.' Bleh. Not many places you can go with that. |

I love the cha cha cha when danced well and to decent music. The music is ruining many of these dances thus far. It's funny that cha cha cha is assumed to be an easy dance and yet so many struggle with the leg movements.

Looking forward to Jay and Aliona's - wonder if it will be their dance?

![]() Besides, we won't be seeing many others (out of all the contenders, only Georgia still has to do one). |

The cha cha is always thought of as easy but the cha cha walks are not that easy and without them the signature of the dance is lost. Very few celeb's over the years have done the leg action right. Personally I think it helps alot to have a proper cha cha cha beat to dance to as without that most beginners cannot master it. The trouble with themed weeks is that they often shoehorn a dance style into a piece of music to fit the theme making it doubly difficult for the learner.
