I've just had a idea for a brand new Villain for Eastenders: Zeb Wyatt.
I may warn you now, folks, this guy isn't like any normal soap villain. He's not pantomime like Nick Cotton, not a Anti-hero like Brendan Brady, and not a big mouth like Warren Fox, no, he's incredibly evil.
He's played by Steve Coogan. That might be pushing it a bit, but hear me out.
Zeb is first seen walking the streets of Albert Square, where he immediately crosses paths with Patrick Trueman. He is revealed to be a racist as he racially abuses Patrick after he refuses to allow Zeb to not pay for a pint of Milk. Patrick orders him out the shop, whilst threatening to ring the police.
That night, Patrick is walking back to the B&B from the Queen Vic when suddenly a gang of thugs jump him and beat him senseless. He is then bundled into a van, and it's revealed that Zeb is behind all this. Patrick is then seen in a abandoned Slaughterhouse, where Zeb tortures him and cuts off most of his skin. It's incredibly horrifying to watch, and Zeb ends this by striping Patrick naked, dousing him in Petrol and setting him on fire.
The next day, Patrick is dumped outside the B&B, naked and his entire body burnt to smithereens. Denise and Kim are horrified, and when Patrick tells them that Zeb is responsible, they are livid. Denise confronts Zeb, demanding that he apologises for what he did.
Zeb, however, refuses to even consider it, and threatens Denise with the same if she doesn't back off. Zeb then begins a violent and disturbing hate campaign against Patrick, which basically consists of him ordering thugs to smash up the shop and B&B. Kim is violently mugged in the street by another gang of Zeb's thugs, Denise's car gets stolen and eventually crushed, and Patrick's life is made a living hell by Zeb.
After a few days of violence and threats, Patrick cannot take it anymore; He attempts to ring the police, but Zeb breaks into the B&B and attacks him, eventually breaking his right arm. Zeb's attack on Patrick is so violent that most of it happens off-screen, but ends with Patrick covered in blood, stripped naked and crying his eyes out. Denise and Kim find him and immediately make the decision for Patrick to leave the square in order to keep him well away from Zeb. In heartfelt scenes, Patrick leaves the square in a Taxi, much to the joy of Zeb, so smirks as he's driven away.
With Patrick gone, Zeb focuses his attentions on Ricky Butcher, who's recently returned to the square. Ricky is struggling for cash, so Zeb steps in and offers him a job as a Drug dealer. Ricky immediately turns it down flat, making it very clear that he isn't interested in getting involved in Zeb's world. But Zeb isn't impressed, and orders Ricky's son, Liam Butcher, to be attacked outside his school. Liam is then viciously beaten up as he's walking home from school, much to the horror of Ricky. Feeling desperate, Ricky accepts Zeb's job offer.
Part 2 coming up very soon.
