A jive + at end of show + week 3 = the first 10 of the series
We've seen it all before, Louisa and Vincent scored 8-9-9-10 at the same stage in 2006. She never scored another 10 and placed fourth overall.
Jay, like Peter, has peaked too soon. You won't win the journey prize if you've got 9s and 10s three weeks before Halloween. And he has also already played the haircut and tearful mum cards.

Aliona has the skill to train & choreograph well & better material to work with than Janette. So Jay is here for the long haul. Expect more of the same.

Well what a little ray of sunshine to brighten our Sunday!

Sensibly we'll all just ignore that, shall we?

Some people are just naturally talented or/and fast learners? Some people may really put the hours of practice and training in more than others?

I expect to see a stunning contemporary showdance in the final

I actually don't think Aliona has got much to do to be quite honest ......it's already been done. I don't mean that nastily ....he is probably as good as her

Well, you must be a million laughs to spend an evening with.

I don't know how you can even mention Jay in the same breath as cheesy P'dah.

Jay is going all the way to the finale, no matter how much it will upset you.

So at least several of the celebs have had some sort of training, do I care NO I would rather celebs with some form off dance training, rather than the likes of Ann widdecom
Russell grant etc, even though Russell was good for entertainment value, AND that is what the show is about LIGHT ENTERTAINMENT

Is 'having a haircut' actually a card people play? I know about the mums/nans/kids/dogs/workload cards, but haircuts? The only person I ever remember having a featured haircut on this show was James Jordan back in his Wolverine days, but I didn't realise it had become something people do to demonstrate their desperation to win

Like others, I'm not sure Jay has peaked too soon (like Sophie/Jake etc.) as he is already a more talented dancer, has a pro who can teach technique and choreograph interesting routines and has seemingly unlimited time to train.

I think Jay ticks all the boxes. He doesn't appear to be trying TOO hard..something that loses public votes very quickly. He's building a decent fan base, without any strong negative feelings which might prove Peter Andre's undoing closer to the final. He's already got one great show stopper in the bank, and with Aliona I can see him adding one or two more.
Unless something goes spectacularly wrong, he looks a shoe-in.
Now 11/10 favourite with the bookies, Peter out to 4/1.

It's in the bag! I expect their quickstep will be mesmeric, Aliona knows how to choreograph tip-top routines for that dance. Louis Smith's quickstep was terrific and ditto Harry Judd's.

Probably because they are fans of Peter 'media tart' Andre who's been eclipsed by Jay

Harry was a beginner, and IMO the in hold part of his Waltz after 5 weeks training with Aliona was better than Jay's in hold Waltz after 4 weeks training with Aliona.

So I think Jay already had experience of the stuff Aliona used to fill in when out of hold in the Waltz, but not the stuff in hold.

Same with the JIve - he learned the Jive content in 4 days and Aliona choreographed to use some things he had done before that could be fitted to a Jive.

The in hold Waltz is an example that shows he doesn't just get these techniques easily.

Did you notice that the "media tart" was conspicuous by his absence when all of Jay's fellow dancers were cheering like mad? Even Jamillia went up in my estimation with her obvious joy and enthusiasm after his incredible performance.

Did you ask the same question about virtually everyone else?

He appears to have provided plenty of ammunition if anyone wished to but for some reason had a three-week honeymoon period.

Agreed, it is all textbook like Tom, Harry, Louis

People need to shift their attention to the other final spots. Think that out of the contenders Peter and Georgia are the most likeliest to get a surprise dance-off appearance in the upcoming weeks.
