I've had a think about it and I was a tad harsh accusing her of looking angry . Never let it be said I don't admit bad choices of words .I think she looks more puzzled . Like she expected better comments and scores . It's ok to feel like that , but she should try to just smile through it and take criticism on the chin .
I still think she won't get very far , what with her balance issue and Brendan being bored with her inability to live up to his expectations . But I wish her luck and look forward to her paso .
Hopefully it won't be like this ,

I agree, I don't think she'll go far, but I hope at least she'll have long enough to deliver a dance without hiccups before her departure.

Thats a matter of opinion! I think Kirsty is as tough as they come, and is more than capable of standing up for herself! The trouble is that she works every afternoon at Sky Sports and is not a great dancer to begin with. I just wish that celebrities planning to take part in Strictly realised just how much time and effort it is going to take up before signing up. Some of them have no 'day' job and can put in 100% effort others just can't and it reflects on the dance floor in my opinion.”

It is a recipe for disaster when the male pro thinks he is cuter that the "gorgeous woman" he is dancing with.

Yes that's bad

LOL at this thread. I was wondering when the 'I-know-what-a-complete-stranger-is-really-truly-thinking', and the comedy gold of 'reading-100000-emotions-and-motives-into-a-single-micro-gesture', would happen.

But you know what? All these comments serve to do is to shine a not very flattering light on those indulging in them.”

Very well said : ) It's for the same reason I don't visit here as much either. I do find the lack of irony in some of those making vicious comments funny though!

Poor Kirsty just got unlucky in the draw, all she needed was a thoroughbred.

I never thought of Kirsty in those terms, but she could ride me if she thinks it would help

I am surprised we haven't heard the word "core" mentioned during the judging of her performances yet (Darcey, hello?). That's her weakness.

That is not really Kirsty's weakness, it seems to stem from another source.

Kirsty does not lack strength. She's just as stiff as wood.

You have to feel sorry for poor Kirsty though Leicester.

Just a question, have any of you actually met or spent time in her company to find these things out? No...i thought not!!

She's NOT a natural dancer, so yes she has balance issues and all of the other 'faults' some of you lovingly point out. But is three weeks really enough time to develop such an accurate picture in your minds of what a person is really like?

She's learning to dance, has no previous experience and is thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to learn something completely new, and to pick up all of the elements that go with it. She has no performance experience, and anyone who knows her knows she has no musicality or natural rhythm but surely one of the points of the show is for contestants like Kirsty to be able to have the opportunity to learn and improve? A natural fact of life, whether it's academically or even in dance is that some people are faster learners and have more of a natural aptitude than others.

A little less of the judgmental comments and critique please. She's a good person, as to are the other contestants.”

Do you always answer your own questions? You accuse her detractors of uninformed opinions whilst implying that you know her personally. I'm sure she has family and friends who love her dearly but as you say she is not a natural dancer - so I'm afraid the surprise and expressions of displeasure when receiving her critiques and scores indicate - delusional!

She looked like an ironing board being tossed around by a drunken student.

You're assuming then that I don't know her personally?

She's working on SSN right now.

When you consider she spends hours sitting at a desk and standing in front of a video wall, it might explain why she's got all the grace and flexibility of a ladder.

Does that make her a good dancer

Quite the contrary - your enthusiastic defence of the lady leads me to believe that you do know her personally.

Hence:
1. The rose coloured specs you seem to be wearing on her behalf.
2. The manner in which you berate all those who post a word of criticism.

For me Kirsty *is* improving and the routine this week looked smoother on the whole with only a couple of dodgy moments.

As for her looking angry or in disagreement with scores, I can't say I pick up on that. I don't think she has a lot of confidence, to be honest. The scores for her salsa were incongruent with her scores, so I can understand why she'd be confused. She looked at Brendan during getting them, as if she was concerned about having let him down.”

Its a bit like being in a Colosseum Nina.
