Here's another, that may test the limits of this thread...

...I wanted Lisa Riley to make the final over Louis Smith.

What I meant is that I am not bothered by campness, but I am by vulgarity and he is rather vulgar. I thought in the pro dances was a perfect match for Kristina (though she is a much better choreographer and teacher than him) .

Lisa Riley aside, I think Robin was a massive hindrance to all of his partners - Meaden especially.

The Viennese Waltz, in which he spent more time dancing with a table than Deborah, is probably one of the worst pieces of choreography the show has ever seen.

Unrelated unpopular opinion - Bruno is my favourite judge, because I think his critiques are the most useful.”

Bib, definitely agree. But I wasn't familiar with the Artem-James rumba before ... caught it now on YouTube and it made me laugh. It made me think too that James Jordan was a very good dancer. Pity I went off him.

Totally agree. I've never understood why he has such a huge and devoted fan base either. He's always struck me as totally self absorbed.

He was truly awful. I am so glad he went.

I couldn't care less whether a pro is gay or straight, I only care about the dance, but I loathed his style of OTT panto dancing and dreadful choreography. I don't even mind wild camp, but he just never got off the stage.

You win.
{Do you actually really think that, or were you just desperate to win the most unpopular opinion prize?)

1. The Charleston is by far my least favourite dance.
2. I couldn't stand Kara Tointon or Abbey Clancy and was gutted when both won.
3. I don't mind Anton, though his Latin is admittedly poor.
4. I don't like Georgia or Kellie.
5. I liked Susanna Reid.
6. Rachel Stevens was dull as dishwater.
7. I usually don't mind Halloween week.
8. I like Kevin from Grimsby.

Gulp! Here goes for me:
I love all the pro dancers
I like all the celebs but Ainsley
I used to dream about Anton (too much for even this thread?)
I love Tess, Claudia and Zoe
I don't like Len. He is mean and let's his personal feelings get in the way
I'm glad the other pros have gone. I like the new ones

I was just going to reply and then I saw you had said pretty much what I was going to, except Scott, I thought Austin was pretty good, but again, that just knocked anyone away.

Maybe the poster should try those turns whilst performing a kick ball change at the same time, plus spottig and getting the jive action in, then you would understand how hard it was!

Yes definitely. And what's more he made it look effortless. Which is pretty hard to do. There have been jives I've enjoyed by the celebs which have been spoiled a bit by them flagging near the end but Jay's jive got more and more energetic. I think I did at least three 'wows' .. moving nearer to the edge of my seat each time. Any more and I would have been on the floor

What's especially great is .. he doesn't look the most co-ordinated off of the dance floor. I'm with Aliona's mum .. his walk does have a touch of caveman about it!

I see St Jay of McGuinness' jive is so holy now that it transcends even the ideals of being able to post in an Unpopular Opinions thread without its acolytes correcting the heathens.

Craig Kelly wasn't that delusional and I think people mostly hyped it up because there was bugger all else to talk about during Series 7.

I wish I could say the latter. I liked Lisa, but it was more that I really, really disliked Louis - I would've had Lisa safely in 4th place.

Louis was such a narcissist and just gave me the creeps.

Yes I thought the point of this thread was that it was a safe place to post unpopular opinions without too much serious challenge.

Craig Kelly though????????........oh alright, I'll agree.

Also just generally overmarked towards the end of the series; his American Smooth, Foxtrot, Jive (especially Jive), and Showdance were all overrated. Lisa wasn't great, but I'd rather have seen her and Robin have a funnity-fun full-body breakdown in a Showdance than Louis pratting about on a giant ball.

(Also it's great fun trying to imagine what her Judges' Choice and Favourite Dance would've been - I'd guess Tango and Cha-Cha-Cha, respectively).

Nowhere here is safe from the judgemental and defensive attitudes of hardcore fans!

Fairplay. I think people can say what they want, but then in that people can say what they want back, it has happened with other topics before this on this thread.

Your last point, well I believe he was, just from seeing him at home, I didn't even know it was the mood of the forum as I didn't come on here then. It was our opinion then and we always laughed about it and then Alesha confirmed it, he was quite delusional!

Monkseal, are you on acid or just Jeyes Fluid? Craig Kelly was an appalling (and extremely unentertaining) dancer but it was his mentality that got our collective goat: he must have been taking lessons from Aphasia Delusionata, the famous guru to the stars of Boreham Wood.

PS I have "got fed up of" references to the Jill Halfpenny jive, so let us now have Jay's Jive as the new reference for the next 6 - 7 years until people get "fed up of" it.

Sorry, it's late, and I have been reminded of the purpose of this thread, so Monkseal is welcome to shoot at any of the following:

1) Anton is fading - never thought I'd say that - Katie outshines him.
2) Wish Zoe Ball could leave Ian Waite to do his enlightening commentary on ITT2 on Wednesdays without chirping in every 5 seconds.
3) Tess and Claudia are absolutely fine as presenters, somewhat less irritating than the hammy presenters of "Pointless" and the One Show.
4) We need 4 brand new judges - ones capable of getting their heads around "Gleb Specials".
5) the costumes are brilliant this year - have only seen 2 outfits that I misliked.

-I liked Allison and wanted her to stay a little longer, I didn't want her to win or anything, but I liked her.

-I don't think Brendans choreography always works in favour of his partners

-I wouldn't be sad to see Ola gone next season. I used to really like her but started to go off her through the Karen incident, the Steve rumours and the way her husband acts.

-I was never a big Artem fan

-I don't really like how Daniel seems to get laughed about all the time on ITT. He seems a normal funny guy, much more down to earth and self aware than I thought he would be, I am liking him.

-I don't see what everyone is going on about with Gleb.

Never could stand Alesha. Not fond of Matt Cutler either.

So shoot me.

Ok here goes 😊:

1) I like Tess, Claudia and Zoe as presenters
2) I also like the judges and usually don't get the criticisms generally levelled at them such as Len being a bully or Darcy disliking the women over the men.
3) I enjoy watching all of the pro's and don't especially dislike them.
4) This is the big one - I don't really like Jay and although I very much enjoyed the jive I think his other dances have lacked a bit in that he seems a bit serious and lacking in expression in his dances (though that suited the movie week dance).

BiB Totally agree - she was the same when they were on SCD, she butted in whenever he opened his mouth to speak.

Has to be said - ladies with mature bosoms should not wear low cut dresses - Carole! Nor RUN up the stairs.

I'd like to see tess in that dress again, but with BOTH sleeves attached next time!
