With a few noticeable exceptions (Kirsty's paso for one) I think the music choices are better this year and suit the style of the dances.

Ainsley is most probably a lovely man but his cheesiness and constant bad jokes are really irritating me.

I think Tess is doing a better job this year (bar the shouting over the judges) and my goodness she is a beautiful woman.

I disliked Gleb to start with but he has won me over the last couple of weeks, he is much more relaxed now and has a lovely smile.

I don't like fusion dances and hope they don't appear this year. I also hate the lindyhop. I really don't like the dance off thing (can't remember the proper name for it) where they leave the floor one by one - it's a tool for the judges to get their favourite up to the top of the leaderboard and unfair imho.

- I don't mind theme weeks.
- other than Alesha, I don't think I've ever desperately wanted a contestant to win. I just enjoy the show regardless of the couples.
- I don't mind duffers knocking out ~better dancers and I find the outrage about it hilarious most of the time.
- I love Karen and like the other Cliftons
- Artem was very over-rated because he was attractive.
- I wouldn't change this pro-lineup, I'd even keep Anton & Ola.
- not every decision people hate is a conspiracy
- I think some of the complaints from the dance experts smacks of pretension and sour grapes
- sometimes, in my crazier moments, I really miss James before he became a big-mouthed idiot on Twitter.
- the BTF dancers have been a good addition to the show and are all really great dancers as well as very nice people.
- I never really got Robin and I was happy he was cut
- I would miss both Brendan and Anton if they left the show.

She was also a pixie lott hater, just like emma Kennedy was an ashleigh hater of bb15.

Lots of people were Pixie haters (me included). Too much leg wafting and when she wasn't wafting them, they were quite bent (IMHO)

I doubt Marian is an anyone hater .. there'll be people she likes more than others .. just like the rest of us.

All of that plus i can't believe chris hollins beat ricky whittle and that ricky as the runner up wasn't invited on the tour.

I love James Jordan.

I think Brendan Cole is over rated.

- I don't care if a duffer outlasts a "better" dancer as, so far, none of the "better" dancers knocked out had a snowball's chance of winning anyway
- I liked John Sargeant!
- I miss James
- I think Matt Baker was robbed in his year - Kara wasn't THAT good!
- I never missed Arlene and her awful alliterations
- I didn't think Alesha was that bad as a judge - she was on a par with and sometimes better than Darcey
- I wish they'd get rid of Craig (and glad to see they have stopped giving him screen time to justify his scores on ITT)

Some women celebs have had a rough time on here, but so have some of the men. Posters repeating the idea that women all get hate and all the men get an easy ride are usually the ones dishing out hate to the men on every other thread.

I don't miss any of the male pros. I do miss Lilia, Katya, Erin and Iveta though.

Tess is way better than Brucie.

Anton dancing ballroom is the loveliest dancing on the show.

Chris & Ola's Charleston was overrated, preferred Natalie & Artem's

Len grinning to camera gives me the creeps.

I like Karen & Kevin

Didn't like Darren Gough much. I remember him on ITT talking about "real men coming from the north", whilst sitting there in a pair of pink trainers!

Ricky Whittle was robbed

Why oh why can't anyone dance a decent salsa.

Don't like the way Bruno sits on the couch with his legs so wide apart, children might be watching

I'm not sure these will all necessarily be unpopular opinions but anyway...

I have missed Bruce on the last couple of shows (although I still think it was time for him to go).

Tess is incredibly lucky as she is an average presenter, at best.

Len has anger management issues and should be replaced with Karen Hardy. Inconsistent scoring aside, all other judges are good.

Janette is probably the most impressive pro the show has ever had.

Jay's jive was better than Jill's, or maybe even than any other regular dance by anyone.

I really like Joanne Clifton and was sad that she was not a main pro this year.

There is something I don't like about Ainsley, but Kellie is fab.

This year has potentially the strongest field yet.

The winner has probably been undeserved more often than deserved.

I miss Lilia, Flavia, Vincent, Erin, Camilla, Iveta, and Artem on the show.

Pixie and Natalie were probably the best contestants ever (albeit Natalie was the biggest ringer too, even more than Fred Astaire uber-fan Tom Chambers).

Tom Chambers was very unlikable and while good did not deserve to win.

Russell Grant and Lisa Riley believed their own hype and were not actually that funny.

Despite being around so long, the show is still in great shape and is a Saturday night highlight.

Russel Grant didn't bring out Flavia's fun side, whatever that may be. He's also out staying his welcome à la Lisa Riley.

Hair, make-up and wardrobe must really hate Kellie.

I really Liked Abbey Clancy glad she won over Natalie Gomedie

I loved Darren Gough for his real enthusiasm for dancing which is rarely seen in contestants. Lilia choreographed heavy content routines for him including a semi professional waltz, though to be fair that was par for the course then.

Both Erin with Colin, and Zoe had a to camera bitch off in that series about gapping in quicksteps and content in each others routines which didn't come across at all well, Darren and Lilia just had fun. Pus Zoe was a terrible gusher and her gapping etc as consistently ignored by the judges, Bruno especially was nauseating on ignoring her faults. I didn't much care for Colin's style in most of what he did.

(Of course the above bitch off would NEVER be tolerated in today's over produced mishmush).

I was pleased Abbey won over the semi professional Natalie Gumede and Smugsanna.

I loved Cola, the others in that series put me to sleep.

Strangely I wasn't a fan of Alesha, but I thought she was a good judge, and there for a good reason, to subtly guide the voting pattern after the ghastly mess of Sergeant and she did it really well. She was better at giving criticism than Bruno was in her series.

Brendan can produce exquisite work with talent, but he really hasn't the ability to choreograph for lower ability people.

The only thing really I do miss with Bruce was his control over the judges.

I really miss all the quality work that the classic ten dancers produced, you know, when a foxtrot looked like a foxtrot, a waltz like a waltz, and celebs, however badly, were required to at least attempt the correct steps, rather than be allowed to waste time.

Ainsley gets on my nerves.

I have absolutely no idea why Caroline won. She tripped in every bloody ballroom she did and I can't remember anything else she produced. I remember her Charleston because of Pasha kicking the fez.

Chelseeeeeeeee should have had a better final.

Louis snore.

Kelly Brook was fantastic to watch and it's one of the great what ifs if she hadn't had to go.

Austin was robbed a bit though I don't think he would have won anyway. It would have been nice for him to be given a chance to redeem himself though with a belting AT.

I loathe the dance off. It should be back to how it was, a brisk half hour show on Sat night, a proper critique given to celebs on the floor akin to a proper dance comp, one pro dance and quick result with no time wasting.

Of course it did use to be a semi ironic take on a real dance comp. It's now more like a variety show.

We were huge Abbey fans in this house. She kind of represented the non dancers who loved the show but would be terrified every week. She came across as a sweet family woman and her friendship with Alijaz was nice

I do miss Brian. I liked his choreography. I wish Ola would be dropped for Iveta or Katya

Abbey is in this household at least, was the best and much adored winner of SCD ever, a natural beauty, with an elegance about her that was magical, she took my breath away. I was beyond thrilled she won, and never tire of watching YT videos of her.

It's a DANCING COMPETITION and not just a LIKEABILITY CONTEST. Pixie was robbed of a final place. The judges I thought made their decisions on purpose as simon and mark were touring. Then again BBC are at fault too for not being arsed to get the vote back to the public if they can't come to an agreement. Charlotte Moore who is BBC one controller and louise rainbow who is the executive producer IMHO are gonna have to change. Another option is not to have a dance off at all and that'll allow us to have the final decision.

I dread the thought of the "not an appreciation" thread. It compiles so much bitterness and hostility into one place.

Also, the exaltation of "Jaypet" and the ruthless tearing down of other contestants is very odd.

Matt Baker was my favorite Aliona's partner ( although Jay is slowing but surely becoming my favorite Aliona's partner ).

Matt Baker should have won. He was the best partner Aliona's ever had; well until Jay.
Dont get me wrong , Kara deserved her win but there is no way that Aliona and Matt could possibly compete with Kara and Artem storyline that year; Their dancing combined with the showmance made them win. I dont begrudge their win since I rooted for Kara that year but sigh.......I also wanted Matt to win .

Yes Aliona won with Harry but Harry wasnt that good of a dancer IMO ( His Latin was okay and Ballroom excellent) . Sigh.......Aliona should have won with Matt dammit !!!!

Well this is really unpopular opinions

What nonsense! You're like a broken record when it comes to the faded bland bombshell.

She finished up in the bottom 2 (wonder how often she was near the bottom 2 in previous weeks), and Len rightly put his casting vote to good use by booting her out.

Back on topic, Ricky Whittle was robbed.

You have to have the dance-off in order to avoid future John Sergeant situations recurring. But they really must rewrite the awful script that Tess is obliged to mouth every time. Just ask all 4 judges whom they want to save, that's it.

How odd, dreading thread, just don't read it " shrugs"

Funnily enough there is currently a discussion on why other celebs this season are liked, rather than just "ruthless tearing down" and adoration of just Jaypet.

But hey that doesn't fit with your picture of bitterness and hostility.
