Katie Derham isn't the great dancer she is made out to be on here: and her Cha-Cha-Cha score was as much her fault as it was Anton's.

Jay's jive wasn't THAT good. Male celebs don't have to do as much to impress in general.
I saw a story of him being escorted out of a nightclub with a bloody nose last year after he and his band mates had tried to steal drinks - yeah, he's an innocent ickle frightened little boy who needs to be comforted in a matronly bosom. |

![]() ![]() ![]() That makes the two of us then ![]() I've always liked Aliona's choreography - even the Talking Heads vampire tango thing (I don't even particularly hate HOOOOOO NOOOOOO YAAAAWWWWK). She choreographed a VW to Nick Cave, and a foxtrot to a song about alleged date rape. Subversive Ian Waite was a tad 'gangly' for my liking. I don't particularly miss him on the show. I never understood the raging fandom for the Cutlers, especially Nicole. Seemed like nice enough people, but somewhat beige. I was lukewarm on Kara (and downright tepid on the whole Kartem thing) Quite cathartic, this

Love this thread, it's very therapeutic!
1. I liked DvO and enjoyed her dances 2. Ola is my favourite female pro 3. Agree with previous posts re Austin - I never understood the fuss about him 4. I love Tess 5. I like the judges dancing at the start of the show 6. I'm glad they have scrapped the Wembley week |

Kara is probably the one of the winners I remember the least about.
I'm neither here nor there with Pasha. He's OK but certainly not one of my favourite pros. Never got the fuss really. I like the judges dance - or at least they make me laugh. ![]() I was glad Tom Chambers and Chris Hollins won their respective series. I was totally fine with Pixie being eliminated last year. I very much enjoyed the flouncing as a result though. I miss Arlene Phillips - yes even though she basically lusted over any man on the show below 40. She was normally a good half-way house between Craig's harsh critiques and Len's more generous marks. I like Darcey as a judge. No she's not the best judge ever and does have her stock phrases but she's likable and is there to be the 'good cop' and is OK enough in that role. Strictly could do far worse. |

But not quite as much as I enjoyed the Terry M22 Every thought YOU ever had about STRICTLY ever MEGA MERGED thread.

I don't like Peter Andre. I think Darcy is not honest. Bruno gets on my nerves. Len, Anton and Brandon are past their sell by date. Got it off my chest. Feel much better.

Ricky Whittle is my favourite ever contestant!
I didn't like Artem's choreography or find him attractive at all, glad he is gone. I like Anton and he can take over from Tess or any of the judges asap. Craig Revel Horwood is my least favourite judge. I was happy when Tom won! |

I thought Artem was an over-rated, conceited, womanising chauvinist who took himself and the competition far too seriously.

I've made one of mine clear in a thread I started;
I don't get the love of 'the big performance'/ acting stuff. It doesn't matter to me. I just love to see technically brilliant dancing. |

I was never that fussed about Flavia.
I don't get the need for a story in every dance. Your twiddling round a dance floor for a minute 30 doing back, side, together not putting on the works of Shakespeare. Most of the time, unless it's at Brendan levels of arm stretching, walking away choreography it's impenetrable anyway. I don't care about ringers. It's a Saturday night tea time tele programme - entertain me. |

Count me in with the "Austin...meh" group.
Possibly the ultimate heresy...most of the Vincent & Flavia AT pro demos left me cold. I hated Louis Smith's showdance. |

Artem and Alijaz are not handsome - just weird looking in profile or face on.
I love celebrities with dance experience - bring them on in droves Over 50's and fat people should be banned from the show always

Jay has played us for fools - rabbit in the headlights my arse.
I miss James Jordan. Denise van Outen should have won her year. Craig is the worst judge on the panel: the one who knows least about dance. I was sorry when Alesha left - she was just hitting her stride. |

Put me down as another who was not fussed by the Kartem thing, I am never a fan of these showmances though.
I also hate the whole telling a story thing, not as a whole but when they sacrifice the dance. The whole point of every dance is to tell some kind of story through the steps and routine, you don't need to be running around play acting, some of the best dances tell a story and are packed full of steps. Also I didn't like Flavia and Louis salsa, it just was the dirty dancing dance, I have no idea how they could say great choreography to Flavia and keep a straight face! |

Can't abide Anton - never could, likewise Tom Chambers
I enjoyed Colin + Erin's show dance Never understood Darren Cloughs popularity (unless he was doing ballroom) Same with Chris Hollins Craig's the only judge I listen to these days Wish Brendan was naughty like he used to be, loved the 'bad boy' thing, he did it so well! Hides behind the door to say ..... I miss James Jordan (guess I'm a sucker for bad boys) Last edited by myla5trolo : 11-10-2015 at 17:29. Reason: Added |
