Exactly, maybe people voted for the lovely Aljax, but that doesn't explain the judges scores!
I always remember Craig in ITT saying he was horrified when they gave tens at blackpool, what did he hive 7 or 6? About right from him then at least.

You know how some criticise the present judges and presenters,or former judges and presenters,or the band or the singers.....well I like/liked all of them.

Like this thread a lot! We all need space to vent so;

Craig is my favourite judge.

I don't mind the ringers at all

Michael Vaughan is my favourite ever contestant.

Kara Tointon and Alesha Dixon were overrated.

I couldn't stand Artem.

I loved fusion week!

Susanna Reid didn't deserve to get into top 3 in 2013, Sophie Ellis Bextor did.

I like Kristina.

The Cliftons wreck my head.

I would replace Darcey with Karen Hardy or Erin Boag.

I would replace Len with Ian Waite or James Jordan.

I miss James Jordan from the show.

When Pasha is dancing I end up looking at his bum most of the time (blushes)

Tess out, Zoe in.

The Casting Vote should go and if there's a split decision, it should go to the public vote.

I know there's more but that's all for now

I don't understand people who vote for or against the pros rather than the celeb/zelebs.

I can't tell the difference between a salsa and a samba.

I really wish that Bruno, Len and Darcy would remember that the scoring goes from 1-10, it would lead to a much more honest range of marks.

I don't miss any of the former pros, even the ones I really liked. How quickly I forget!

Artem has the eyes and the soul of a shark.”

I rather like sharks - misunderstood creatures.

I rather liked Artem as well.

I don't miss many of the former pros either. Well, Artem obviously. And Ian. Always Ian. Not Cutler though. Or the Bennetts.

Karen Hardy does my head in. Never let her on the judging panel for the sake of my sanity.

Absolutely adored Fusion Week, hope it returns.

Zoe Ball's Waltz, Tango, and Samba were all overmarked.

Artem, Pasha, Tristan... all a bit meh, physically.

I actually find Gleb incredibly attractive.

Lisa Snowdon should have won her year, Bacofoil or not (or even because of Bacofoil).

Louis Smith was overmarked in general, for everything (his Jive deserved 6s), and his Showdance was my least favourite of all time.

Ali Bastian was nowhere near as technically good in Ballroom as the judges suggested.

Chelsee, Scott, and now Jay have all produced better Jives than Jill Halfpenny.

Pamela Stephenson should have at least come 2nd, Matt Baker was terrible.

Pamela Stephenson should've gotten 10s for her week 3 Rumba.

Austin Healey finished exactly where he should have.

Chelsee Healey and Austin Healey's Pasos were both overmarked; best Paso Doble was done by Jill Halfpenny.

Mark Ramprakash's Salsa deserved 38 maximum.

Mark Ramprakash's Argentine Tango deserved 36 maximum.

Abbey Clancey's Waltz was overhyped, both times.

Rachel Stevens' Argentine Tango was ruined by the odd "let's climb on Vincent's leg" moment.

Kara Tointon's American Smooth in the final was worse than the first time, and didn't deserve 10s.

Pasha's Showdance choreography is suspect; the only good one was Caroline's, and that was stuff she already knew. Chelsee's and Kimberley's were Salsambcha night terrors.

I love both Claudia AND Tess, and hope they both stay exactly the way they are.

None of the judges are any better, or worse, or more correct, or less correct than any other, on average, hence why there's 4 of them, not 1.

The choreography in general on Strictly is less interesting than on DWTS, hence Gleb being a revelation with his showy choreography (that Cha-Cha-Cha was pure DWTS).

I neither love nor loathe ringers.

Pixie Lott had peaked, and probably wouldn't have improved any more anyway.

Sunetra Sarker would've made the final with a different pro.

Kara Tointon's Rumba was too sharp and quick for my tastes; 9/10.

None of the dances from Series 1 would've scored above 30 now.

...and so, so many more.

It worries me when Claudia looks really ill.

I find the Vicky Gill bits on It Takes Two really dull.

I hate seeing the female pro dancers in really high, spindly heels on ITT

I think Alesha was massively overrated, especially on here. She was a bit like Peter for me - all performance and lacking in technique, especially in Latin. On the other hand, Kara's technique was generally good, but I found her a bit dull to watch a lot of the time.

Had two styles of dancing: drippy schoolgirl or pouty catwalk model....and I still haven't forgiven Aljaz for that soft porn shoe shuffle masquerading as a waltz

That's not an unpopular opinion even to this Pasha fan,it's just an unfortunate truth

I don't like show dances
I think the AT should be saved for the semi final at least
I never rated Robin
I don't get the Gleb love
I left Brendan's tour show at the interval because I still couldn't forgive him for his behaviour towards Sunetra .
I've not minded any of the winners

Yeah maybe.
But there are other bits of him that more than make up for it.

Thought of another one
Ali Bastian and Brian the Thunderbird were wildly over marked, hugely over rated and almost as shudderingly creepy as Pixie and Trent.

Ok, a really unpopular confession:

I am a dance purist.

There, I've said it!

I feel a bit better now...........

Agree on the show dances and also think AT should be saved too, makes it special.

What did Brendan do?

Thought of another one, there should be more weeks with two dances as there used to be, not just the semi final. If they didn't have to spend so much time doing all the fluff they would have more time for it.

This might not be unpopular but what's with the spotlight on Cliftons and Aljaz and Janette in all the pro dances?

Aljaz and Janette were the focus on the opener, and had the solo on the results show and the other dance was all Karen and Kevin.

Can we some of the others please??

I like Kevin (from Grimsby)

Pixie Lott left me cold, and I was pleased to see Len put his casting vote to good use when she ended up in the dance off.

Abbey Clancy is one of my least favourite winners.

Louis Smith is one of my favourite winners.

Great thread and I'm surprised that I'm not alone in a lot of my pet peeves:

Kara Tointon was a ringer and I always felt she got an easy ride on here even though everyone knew this.

I still believe that Ricky Whittle was one of the best male contestants Strictly has ever seen.

I never got the Artem love. Yes he is a great choreographer but at times he got away with putting less content in his dances than Anton does in his Latin.

I like all four judges and love Darcey BUT, I still miss Arlene's passion for a great performance.

I don't mind Tess but, I still prefer Brucie as the host.

I never liked Jill Halfpenny's jive and always felt it was too clinical - when I want to watch a jive to see a couple dance for pure enjoyment of the dance I prefer to watch Rachel and Vincent or Scott and Natalie.

Oh and while I'm on the jive, I loved Jay and Aliona's jive but, I did not think it was the best dance ever on SCD. It was very good but, not the best dance ever!

I watch John Barnes' Salsa more than the performance by Mark Rampakash and unlike a lot of people on here I agreed with Len when he gave him a 10.

I still think Patrick should have been in the final so we could have watched his Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Charleston again.

I voted for Matt D'Angelo in the final and thought he was by far the best dancer on the night.

Wow do I feel better now.

Aljaz, Pasha and bloody Kevin are well past their sell by date

If he MUST stay, I wish Kryton would get rid of that wart under his left eye.

Gleb thinks he's all that and a bag of chips. He's just a bag of chips.

Great thread!

Craig is my favourite judge
I like Jamelia
I slightly miss Bruce
I find Anton a bit creepy at times
I don't really watch the Waltzs or the Foxtrots
I despise theme weeks!
I don't really mind Tess, she's just a little growly and fake
I felt that Natalie Gumede was overrated in some dances. Her Charleston looked sloppy and odd, her Paso and Argentine Tango were dull and her salsa wasn't that exciting for me.

These points I agree with.

Also Abbey Clancey, Louis Smith, Darren Gough and Chris Hollins all won when there were more deserving winners.

I thought the same, no more Aljaz and Janette please

Brendan makes my flesh crawl

I don't get the Natalie worship, I think Aliona is the Godess!

I want to gaffer tape Bruno to his chair.

Most Paso Dobles are silly and/or cringe-making. Austin Healey's the most so.
