I really like Joanne Clifton and the other Cliftons.

I never really took to Artem.

Ditto Brendan. He was OK with Sophie, but I wouldn't miss him if they left him out of the line up.

Pasha is all right but I don't understand all the fuss about him.

I like Anton.

I've heard people on here rave about the band and the singers. The band is good, but the singers are very much hit & miss. Sometimes they're really good, but quite often they are AWFUL, only barely hit the right notes, and distract from the dancing. Since they seem to rotate the line-up of singers, they could at least get someone in who can sing the required songs.

It annoys me that we're often stuck with good dancers that the public doesn't care about - but who we can't get rid of because the judges will save them when they wind up in the dance off.

I rather like the lighting effects they use to create a mood for the songs. It helps restrain them from crowbarring in props and backing dancers at every conceivable opportunity. Of course, they still do the latter two far too much, but not as much as they would without the lighting!

Brendan has astonished me since he got married - he's becoming caring, laid-back and professional.
I never understood why Jill Halfpenny's jive was so rated - she looked awkward to me.
I was really sorry when Iwan went.
I think the camera work and general production standards of the show are SUPERB.
But I think some of the make up this week was pretty deplorable - especially Peter's and Brendan and whats-her-name's.

I was a fan of Tom Chanbers and Matt and Aliona.

Cant stand Brendan.

Natalie is so overrated as a female pro in this forum. She is good with duffers and middle of the roads.

Pasha is overrated as well. He overuses pros! And no one ever calls him up on it!

Aliona is the best female pro for contenders.

Harry was allround better than Chelsee! She was NOT robbed.

I actually like Susanna Reid and TTF paso!


And the worse one, very embarrassing now: when I started watching (season 5) I thought James Jordan was attractive! (Didn't last long that thought!)

I loved Series 7 ultra-competitive Natalie.

I liked James when he was on the show.

Tom's showdance is my favourite ever.

I don't care about previous experience, I just want to see good dancing.

I too fancied James Jordan. And Brian. And Matthew Cutler. But not Darren - his hair was a wig, wasn't it?

I find I don't like Helen George, based purely on her exceptionally sweet and beautiful appearance, nothing at all to do with her dancing or her personality. Previous to her doing Strictly, I disliked even seeing her photo in Call the Midwife in the TV magazines, even though I never watched the programme - her cute and perky hairstyle, and the fact that her character was called Trixie, just made me feel a bit nauseous. I know that's not her fault, but the whole thing was so incredibly saccharine, it set my teeth on edge. I still can't watch her without squirming, and I bet she's really nice but it doesn't help.


I thought Artem was repulsive - he looked like he was made out of some kind of vinyl or plastic, his chest, his teeth - yuck. Nice person though, and fantastic dancer.

Anton has ALWAYS been too old and too naff to be any good on this show, and should have gone years ago.

I think Tess is really beautiful, terrible dress sense notwithstanding - so statuesque, lovely features. And she's not all that bad at presenting.

The series 10 final was one of the worst ever (and Louis was vastly overrated).
The series 11 final was one of the best ever (and Natalie would be my favourite contestant ever had she been with another partner).
I quite liked Robin!
I quite liked Dr. Hamela Stephenson!
Anya and Trent were robbed of a second chance, especially given some of the pros they've brought back year-on-year.
I never really got the appeal of Ramps, and certainly not the appeal of Darren Gough.
I can't think of a 'first 40 of the series' dance that actually deserved it. Well, maybe Jill's Jive...

Natalie hasn't had a contender for ages and Aliona has had more than her fair share of contenders, so hardly a fair comparison.

I didn't like Austin Healey's Jive or Paso.

I wish they wouldn't book anyone over 60, it never ends well.

I would like Tess replaced with Graham Norton.

I think it's criminal that neither Alesha or Kara ever received a perfect 40.

Natalie and Aliona joined same year.

Prior to this year Both have had two contenders,

natalie has probably had 1 middle of the road and 2 duffers and Aliona has had 1 middle of the road and 3 duffers.

Until this season Aliona had a higher duffer percentage due to Natalie missing a year. So actually Aliona was more overdue a contender than anyone (although I agree Natalie is most overdue for next year.

Aliona has done better with contenders and Natalie has done better with duffers.

I enjoyed Jan Ravens breakdown when she was voted off!

I think Scott Maslen should have told everyone he was doing it for his dead nan! I also think Pamela Stephenson should have explained that she was Billy Connolly's wife, because it maight have got her a few more votes!

The first dance I watched on SCD was Denise in a beautiful golden-ish dress looking like she was born to do it - I could never understand why she didn't win. I didn't get the jivetoendalljive stuff, though, and Jill never seemed to get hit with the RINGAH brush, then.
