There are tons of retired generals with one finger on the repeat dial button voting for that "damn fine filly." She will leave when they run out of pills.

I disagree with you on every point OP . Carol has improved immensely since her first dance whilst others have remained at the same level . I now enjoy watching her dances with Pasha .
People like Carol, Jeremy, Ainsley etc. are what makes SCD such a success . A show where we can enjoy people at all levels of dance and not just the best . |

I think whilst you may all mock and find it hard to believe that Lulu left because of bonfire night as someone who lives in Scotland and was around at the time of Lulugate it definitely was I think the main reason she left SCD that night Lets hope Carol (and indeed Kirsty) don't suffer the same fate as became of Lulu and are voted out on bonfire night this year. Think mind as its a Thursday this year most people will be having their bonfire on a that night so it should be ok but of course over here in Scotland a lot of us wil be out on the nearest Saturday Quote:
A poster obsessed by Scottish Lulu was most insistent that the only reason she went out was that her haters had organised a bonfire display on a green in Glasgow,
Argued it for weeks, frequently , and actually if I remember rightly for several years on the anniversary as well It was a delusion a joy to behold, there was no arguing logic with him, he was adamant that this was why Lulu left The fact that she forgot every step in every dance and had more pleasure dancing alone with a mop in her kitchen than Brendan who had a mutual loathing thing going on with her had nothing to do with it at all. |

She'll survive for as long as she can avoid the dance off, if and when that happens if she's facing anybody half decent it's all over.

Didn't somebody insist last year that Pixie didn't get the votes the week she went out because her fans were too busy Christmas shopping? (Presumably the fans of all the other contestants were too tight to bother buying presents for their loved ones.) I do love a bonkers conspiracy theory.

It gets funnier every time
![]() ![]() I have an image in mind of 5 million people all assembled on something Green near in or near Glasgow (wasn't it?). The atmosphere is warm and convivial and everyone is going ohh and ahh in delight as the fireworks burst overhead. Here and there a wee dram is taken. Everyone is filled with bon-homie and cheerful. Then suddenly in the crowd someone shouts "OMG Its SCD and we need to vote for Lulu" "Anyone got a phone?" A wave of horror ripples through the crowd as they (all 5 million of them) realise they have all forgotten their phones. They all pat their pockets and rummage though hand bags in a state of national panic. But it is in vain. Lulu is no more. A nation weeps.

Undoubtedly the worst female dancer in the competition...
each week seems as though she is about to burst into tears every time she gets judges comments and scores..... She seems to lack any kind of personality other then being "happy"... ![]() Says it all really, although you forgot to mention the hideous rictus grin that seems pasted on her face with superglue. Dreadful dancer, and, worse, she rarely gets the weather forecast right either. |

I don't get the Carole love at all, I rarely watch Breakfast TV but when I do the most I've thought about her is that she wears some nice , flattering age appropriate clothing. I find it strange therefore that the clothes and make up she wears on Strictly age her dramatically and make her look quite hefty. Strange when they succeeded in making Judy Murray quite glam last year.
I don't think that the strictly experience is quite what she thought it was going to be, there's a fixed quality to her smile as there is with Pasha's. I just don't think they gell. What I do know is that my 85 year old (Welsh) mother told me even before the launch show - "We ( her OAP politburo) are going to vote for Carole because we really like her" |

![]() Although there is a claim elsewhere on the forum that it was a self-constructed conspiracy and she asked the producers to get Len to boot her off the show so she could go back to her day job. I'm wearing a tin-foil hat for the rest of the series. Can't be too careful. |

As soon as possible I hope - another BBC darling. She has the most irritating voice, needs a better bra, and, sorry to say, there's something rather creepy about someone who smiles all the time - most of all, she is a very boring dancer

I find her boring, like a slightly better Judy Murray, and don't understand the appeal at all... looks like we're probably stuck with her for a few more weeks though. I think its telling that the few people I've heard of who like her have said they'd vote for her before she'd set foot in the dancefloor.
