Is this the first year that we've been without a sports star this early in the series?

People from the world of sport have traditionally done pretty well on Strictly, and I was surprised that there weren't more in the starting line-up.
Having seen what we got this time - one guy who couldn't commit and one with an injury -
It's not that shocking that they've gone, but it'll be strange to go through close to an entire series without one.
