I think he has some cause to be down in the mouth really...
He isn't the first and won't be the last two be partly brought down by these ghastly theme weeks (if you thought "Movie week" was bad just wait for Halloween R.I.P) and I didn't think there was much to choose between him and Ainsley in dance off, to be honest - Both seemed equally hopeless to me, so was surprised it was such a clear cut decision for the judges. Also, except for CRH, the score's/comments Jeremy Vine was given for his (supposed) American Smooth was insane... So there's definitely a double standard going on there (the comment about Fred Astaire "loving" Jeremy's dance was, frankly, embarrassing) That said, even if he'd been "saved" this week, he'd probably have gone next week, so at least he's saved himself a week of embarrassment in front of the nation!

He said on ITT that he is sometimes a bit 'thick' and 'slow' when it comes to learning new things so he is probably fair game to any hack who is armed with leading questions and seeking a few quotes for the tabs.
On balance, given his shoulder injury and lack of employment opportunities atm, I think his time with Strictly has been quite productive both financially and in terms of exposing him to a wider audience. The trick now is to capitalise on it and avoiding burning any bridges. He was clearly the worst performer on the night. The public chose not to keep him out of the DO and the judges all agreed that he should be eliminated. A comprehensive KO! |

I thought he came across as a lovely lad - and Oti is several shades of awesome - but who thought ia guy who still can't lift his arm up to mouth level was a good fit for the paso or a dancing competition as a whole?

Just googled him and latest set of news stories have him expressing surprise at being partnered with Oti as he thinks they should have "spread the minorities around". Whether it's a lack of media training or him being a "bit slow", he's not coming across well. It's a shame as I thought he seemed very sweet and I really wanted him to get through the injury and last for a while as they were potentially a good pairing.

Exactly, I liked him too, but what did he expect ?
On DWTS there is always usually someone with no legs or someone with only one arm and one leg. They tend to make it into the final. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1MdkvhKM78 Noah and Sharna So maybe he wanted to be in the final? |

In another article he said he was disadvantaged because Oti was new and didn't have a big fanbase but i can't find it now.... |

He says that he expected them to shuffle the minorities around, not that they should have.

Maybe like Pointless, you should get another chance in another year if you go out very early.

I don't know who chooses the dances for the celebrities and when they actually make the choice but paso doble was an odd choice for someone who can't raise his arm above his head.
It would have made more sense to have given him a different dance this early on and saved the paso for later assuming that a. He was still there and b. His shoulder was much better. I'm sure it would have been possible to swap the dance order around a bit. |

I don't know, but a lot of people said it here as well pre-series when they were playing the "guess who's got who" game. People said they expected that Oti wouldn't get Anthony or Ainsley because they wouldn't partner two black people together.

I agree with his comments about the Rocky theme. How many more weeks did they intend to keep up the stupid boxing connection ? But the real reason he didn't survive was because he entered with an injury to his right shoulder/arm. He should have waited until next year, if his professional boxing career allowed.
PS That shoulder must have required a lot of painkillers for the dancing action - I'm amazed he was able to use that arm as much as he did. |

You know, conspiracy theory here, but what if TPTB deliberately gave him the Paso so that his limited movement with that injured shoulder shone out and made the dance worse than it would have been. I mean if his injury is as bad as I have read then he would be in a lot of pain and at serious risk of injuring it further by continuing in the show. So maybe they did stack the deck against him so he went out early to save them aggravation down the line if he really did himself in during training. I heard somewhere that he was a little hard up for cash and that was one of the main reasons he took this job on SCD. So he has been paid, got his face out there to the public and got away (hopefully) with no further injury so why is he complaining so bitterly?
As for Oti, I think she is going to be a great addition to the pro dancers. She comes across as a really nice girl and from what little we have seen she can certainly dance. |

So much for Oti being a friend for life - he would have preferred some white chick who had more of a fanbase to draw on lol.
Kristina could have been right for him. Injured sportsmen are her forte. |

I can't believe that the BBC didn't have enough male celebs willing to do the show.
I can't help but suspect is that they ran out of money. I bet Peter Andre has cost a penny or two - his marks suggest that they really want to get their money's worth. Maybe an injured boxer who most people haven't heard of was very cheap? Next year they should save money by dumping Len. |

It's the BBC's fault - they ran out of male celebs wiling to commit to that length of time - no reserves - - no male pro for Joanna Clifton, remember - so they thought 'it won't matter, try your best' would not be noticed by the viewers.

Oh for God's sake, he was injured, what the hell did he think he was doing singning up for SCD. Madness. Dreadful decision. Stupid really imo
![]() Should have waited until next year, when hopefully he will be fit. It was a ridiculous thing to do and IF he is now coming accross publicly as a sore looser...it wasn't the best idea at all. |

I think he wanted to make his recovery less boring and misjudged how tough it would be. If he were healthy it would allow him to perform better, which would move him into a safer zone.

Well THIS article is interesting. Written and published a few days before he was voted off the show "If someone said to me that I could box tomorrow, pain-free and everything would be fine then I would leave the show tomorrow."
