LG G4 Memory Card Issue

Hi, i have a LG G4 and have purchased a SD card for it, when i put the SD card, the phone says "SD Card Inserted" but in the storage options, the options for the SD card are greyed out therefore the card has not mounted. I have tried the card in other phones and it works fine.

Anyone have this issue?

Have you had another pop up saying it was unreadable and inviting you to format it?

Maybe remove it and put it back in, and check your notifications?

Or else try and format it in another phone (depending on the size, be wary about using a PC as I had my SanDisk 200GB card report as 200MB on a Windows 10 PC!).

Where did you buy it from and what capacity is it?

The only pop up that came was "SD Card Inserted" and that is all.
I have tried several times, even tried it other phones and it picks up fine. I have also tried a different SD card in the phone and it does not mount it.

I brought it from Amazon and its a 64gb class 10. I brought 2, one for my phone and one for my wife's phone.

If you've tried two cards then it must be a hardware fault with the phone. There isn't any card a G4 can't take (it takes SDHC and SDHC) so you shouldn't have that problem.

Sorry to bump this thread but i have been offered a LGG4 for a very nice price, but as im mast and network obsessed i need to know if two particular apps work ! one is network signal info - does it show signal strength properly on all bands especially 4G , and two does Telinfo work ( it launches the menu which allows you to select lte only etc) i have a sony z2 at mo but want a cat 6 phone i was gonna get a honor6 but it wouldn't do telinfo thanks
