I only ever watch the women. What's the point in watching otherwise?

I think men and women alike are drawn to the woman dancing (generally), since they have the more eye-catching dresses and colours, and the choreography is usually created to showcase the woman.

I watch both. Indeed it's hard to avoid your eye being caught by the pro if he/she is so much better than the celeb, and the celeb is just not very good, rather than entertainingly bad, if that makes sense!
Obviously certain female dancers and celebs over the years will have attracted my eye, but never to the extent where I don't notice the male at all! |

Thanks, everyone, for the thoughts, and for 'keeping it civil' without anyone slagging each other off, criticising celebs, etc. - Dave (OP)

Any male who watches Jay and does not have his eyes glued to Aliona is probably 2 X's short of a chromasome

I am attracted to the dance. I will eye up the body shape in relation to the movement. For example Kellie seems strong, stocky, athletic but she doesn't have a graceful body (lithe - long limbed). Helen has a graceful body but is not as athletic / strong. Jeremy and Ainsley have amazing legs - they seem to go on for ever. It's just a question of controlling them. Anyway that's just a small insight into how I look at things on the show. For me it is all about the movement, the shapes, the dance.

Whichever way you cut it, you're still watching a man and a woman dancing together.

Whoever is dancing, I will watch both the male and female more or less at the same time
Unless of course they have a particularly severe gapping problem.

![]() I guess I'm OK then. When all the fuss started about him I had to go back and rewatch and force myself to look at him! Rarely look at any of the males, if I'm honest.... |
