At least Ian's still on ITT and has quite a dance-fitness program going with Natalie. WTH happened with Matthew Cutler? Demoting all those pros in one season was a real shocker but I'm with you - Ian was the most painful cut, and they need him for the real tall girls
![]() I recently read somewhere that Anton is 53 years old! (He's pretty good at protecting that particular piece of information ) |

For some reason Anton and Brendan seem bulletproof. I think the BBC assume they're more popular than the other pro's, they're certainly higher profile but I'm not sure that they are the most popular.
I really miss Lilia and never understood the decision to drop her. Surprised with all the exposure they gave to Iveta on ITT that they let her go as well. Of the new dancers I really really like Oti. Not so keen on the blokes especially Giovanni. |

I would have Ian instead of Brendan, Trent instead of Anton and anyone instead of Kevin even Jared! (Just joking! I would love for artem instead of Kevin. I don't mind either of Gleb or Giovanni.
Females, if we could keep Aliona, Natalie and Oti, and exchange, ola, Janette and Karen for Iveta, Katya and Anya, that would be great. Kristina, can stay as long as she has duffers. |

Anya definitely deserved another year, she was a fabulous dancer and teacher and really got the best out of Patrick. I would have put them in the final ahead of Susanna and Kevin that year. Maybe it was her choice, I don't recall hearing much about it.
Also what is with the Aljaz and Janette /Kevin and Karen love from the producers. Now I like the former couple; not so much the latter; but is it just me or are they the focus of a few too many pro dances? The other pros sometimes look like they've been demoted to backing dancers. I hope the 'lead roles' are going to be shared out more as the series goes on. |

I think the quality of the pro line-up as a whole has noticeably declined since Jason Gilkison got so heavily involved with the show. I would like them to think a bit more about getting a spread of heights when they change the pros. I know its not easy, but there seem to be a lot more weird height matches these days. Its daft that Natalie is the only tall female pro and they got rid of Ian who was perfect for the taller ladies. There seem to be a few matches where the female celeb is as tall as the male pro and they can't lift them without it looking ungainly. |

Yes, I'd definitely choose Trent over Tristan. Trent gave us some really memorable choreography last year. He was excellent at story telling.
I can't really remember any of Tristan's dances .. like Ola .. I only remember the Cola Charleston and she didn't choreograph that. Time for her to go. Oti is a great new pro but I'd like to see what Joanne could do with a decent partner. This should probably be Anton's last year too. No objection to him being a judge or a compere .. but no more dancing please. I don't see why Ian had to go .. we've still got Brendan and flipping Anton. |

Very interesting post Elsa. I didn't know that about Brian or the background re-Tristan so thanks.
I know it's not a popular view here, but I like Anton and think her performs a useful role on the show. I only hope he ups his game after last weekend's poor choreography. Agree with others that Ian is a loss, especially as Natalie has always been my favourite pro dancer. I like most of them though ..... the only exception to that was mouthy James Jordan (never forgave his scathing remarks about John Sergeant on ITT) and was delighted when he was given the boot. |

I miss Darren, Lilia, Matthew and Ian and would love to see them back competing but it isnt going to happen
I also miss Anya - biggest mistake letting her go To be honest I wouldnt miss Ola and think she is extremely lucky to have been part of this series and I wouldnt miss Janette either - I dont rate her, her dancing or her choreography, sorry |
