I won't bother with the poll as it makes no sense whatsoever.
What I will say is personality of contestants means absolutely zilch to me. Sometimes I will find a person endearing ( Jeremy and Daniel are both lovely this year ) but I can't ever remember disliking anyone. I judge by their dancing abilities and my "favourites" are my favourites because they're the best dancers and for no other reason. I object to Peter Andre getting such huge praise and high marks in the first two weeks because he isn't that good a dancer, but I've got nothing against him. And to answer your first question, if he'd done that jive on Saturday exactly as it was I would have found it just as exciting. But he wouldn't have done; he'd have hammed it up, and it was the laid-back understated attitude Jay had that I loved about it. |

I think you are asking the wrong questions for what you want, which I think is to establish that one is liked aside from his technical abilities and the other is not liked even if he had those technical abilities.
As it stands I answer yes to both, because if he and Janette (or he and Aliona for that matter) had dance that jive to the level of Jay, I would have still be in awe and he would have made me excited for every single dance until he got to the final and maybe won. However, the question I think you wanted to know the answer to is whether we would still vote for him and make him our favourite as we have with Jay? |

Well I haven't voted on this as I'm really not sure because of the wording if I should be voting yes or no but I didn't know Peter was unpopular. Very odd poll.

It is possible to like both Jay and Peter. lt doesn't have to be one or the other

I assume the second question is the same as his question in another poll about Jay "smashing it". Quite why it warranted another poll, I don't know.

I think the OP is trying to provide statistical proof that people are big meanies about Peter.

Also, I have nor been on the forums since Friday for one reason and another - so am catching up on what most of you have probably been talking about since the weekend. I was supporting Anthony and was sorry to see him and Oti leave. I have not made any comment on that subject neither so get prepared for a flurry of "O Army" posts!!!
No, joking aside, apologies if this poll did not make sense - I've tried to make it clearer. Apologies also to those offended by this or by "3 polls about 1 topic in 3 hours". Feel free not to reply if you wish - it honestly is not the biggest deal in the world to me right now. On the whole I wasn't aware that the purpose of this forum was to inform you by poll on your pet subject and I am not sure many other than you understand or enjoy your polls, Can I suggest you stop now as others have also suggested, if there is something you would like to know feel free to read the numerous threads already existing that are out there to entertain and educate you. And really why would you about Oti and Anthony ? I don't think many people want to educate you by poll over that either, it was previously discussed at the time, anything you want to know about it is all there. The short answers really are no matter how many polls you post 1 not many people give 2 hoots about previous experience 2 Peter has those who like him, a lot less than like Jay according to the weekly existing poll freely available at the top of the page 3 nothing you can say will change anyone's mind because we all either liked the dance or not at the time of the dance 4 repeating a statement does not make it true |

I don't know how I would have reacted to Peter doing That jive to the same standard because I can't imagine it. I can't see Peter managing that degree of cool insouciance (sp?) which was as integral to the routine as the footwork.
However I really did expect Peter's paso to be amazing, and was prepared to be won over to Team Andre by its brilliance. Didn't happen |

The problem with Peter is he's whored his personal life out to the media for the past 10 years and so everyone has preconceptions about him. He's a very marmite character in that way.
Jay couldn't be further from that, he's pretty much an unknown personality and in that respect is far more likable because you have nothing to dislike him for. If Peter were as good as Jay people would still dislike him, that wouldn't change. In fact it would probably make the dislike stronger, willing him to fail harder. That's just the nature of being in the public eye for so long and dividing opinion. |

Just take a look around the Forum, many of us despise him.

Keep the question simple. That is the first law in any survey - keep the questions simple.

I don't mind either Jay or Peter. Neither top my favourites list, since I prefer enthusiastic beginners who have good timing, make progress, and become decent dancers.
However, if it came down to chosing between the two, I'd probably vote for Peter, because he acts the songs as well as dancing them. Jay is a bit too monotone in his facial expressions while dancing. Of course, it's possible that he can bring the face and personality into it as well and is holding that back for journey reasons, but he doesn't seem that type. For me, a good dance isn't just about technical perfection, it's about the emotional content and the story - and Jay's dancing storytelling is currently in computer voice mode. Peter gives it way more personality. But, I like them both, they seem like nice, likeable guys. |

I don't understand how you can answer yes or no to "would he have excited or bored you"

Yes he would have got the same reaction from me. It was a great jive but has been hugely overrated.

The question is a bit daft for the simple reason is that there is no way on earth Peter Andre could have even performed that jive.
He is not a good enough dancer to pull it off, so the very premise of your endless polls is deeply flawed, and therefore completely and utterly pointless. |
