Both great jives in their different ways, but Jill's was more fun, so she gets my vote.

Yes!
I usually loathe the jive, far too perky and jazz handy for my liking but Jay's managed to be crisp but almost relaxed at the same time, none of that horrific frenetic flailing. I could have written this post myself. So glad to find someone else who likes to see a proper 1950s dancehall jive rather than a hammed-up, wound-up " look at my fixed grin" kind of jive, like every other jive that's ever been performed on Strictly, including Scott Maslen's ( and how! ) and, to a lesser extent, Jill Halfpenny's.

I voted for Jay, but to be fair, Jill's jive was a few years ago and styles and content of all dances change from year to year. Jill's jive was excellent for the year, Jay's more for today - if that makes any sense?

I voted Jay for the overall dance but I do think that Jill's kicks and flicks were better - sharper.

Hooray!! Someone else remembers Scott's jive. I flippin' love that jive and re-watch it every new series just for the pure joy and skill of it. Great story-telling too. I'd be hard-pressed to know which I prefer out of Jay and Scott's, but I definitely prefer them both over Jill's
)Jay's was fab & I loved Scott's jive- really fun & it drew you in. |

Jay's by a mile. The only reason Jill's dance is still mentioned is that 99% of contestants are crap at the Jive.

Love them both. According to Wikipedia, Jill's jive was week 3, weirdly enough.
