Just a quick post to let you know that Will's latest album 85% Proof is on special offer on iTunes at £5.99 for a limited period.

I was delighted when he won Pop Idol and his "light my fire" audition was sublime.

Also loved him on Mrs. Henderson, however I've seen him in a couple of interviews where I found him to be quite brittle, condscending and not a tad up himself. (so to speak)

Anyhoooo..still love his song "Think I'd better leave right now"... but cannot imagine him ever gracing the SCD floor as a contestant.

Having attended ArtsEd just before he went into Pop Idol and regularly has dance lessons, he would be the ultimate ringer!

I thought the audience rhythmical clapping was ridiculous. It made it difficult to hear Will's voice. He looked very smart.

Somehow amongst all that work, he had a nervous breakdown and spent 6 months in a trauma clinic. He spoke about it in an interview in the Telegraph. It's great to have him back and I'm looking forward to seeing him on Sunday.
Aww. I'm sorry to read that.

Thought he was great last night and loved the song.
I sincerely wish him well.

I thought the song was okay, well performed, but nothing groundbreaking.

His songs used to be better than that.

I really enjoyed his performance and he looked great, happy and healthy.

I do love his old songs and was a little disappointed with the new one last night. Just not my cup of tea. It was nice to see him back though and I thought incorporating a bit of dance with the pros was a nice touch

He should be careful or they will snatch him up for the next year of Strictly

I think Will is too good for Strictly and it would not be a good move on his part. His career as a singer and an actor is still viable. Strictly is the kind of gig a singer does when his or her career is coming to an end or even over and a reboot is needed.

I thought he performed well last night. Didn't like the song much but maybe it's a grower

Didn't Donna Summer do it as Love's Unkind?

I too liked his dance moves with Karen. If he stood up to SC as another poster said good on him. He looked liked he enjoyed himself.

Not everyone's careers are coming to an end. A lot of current Eastender's actors do it, so do people in the One show. I don't think Caroline Flack's career was about to end .....

I did not realise SCD was a platform for hasbeens, but even if it is, I think it's still nice to see people learning to dance.

Me neither but The Abomination that is Andre (one of the biggest hasbeens/wannabees ever) is 'participating' this year so perhaps there is a grain of truth in the assertion.

Which is basically what I posted earlier ... and he loves his dance.

He is often cited by fans as one of the most unpleasant celebrities out there. If true, having read the story of his breakdown, his behaviour may have just been his insecurities manifesting. That's why is it never a good idea to judge without knowing the full facts - though we ALL do.

But a lot of people will say that he isn't a professional ballroom/ latin dancer. He mainly does musical theatre/ jazz etc. which isn't a 'real' form of dance as it's 'easy'.........

That's what people have said about Jay and his contemporary dancing.

I'm a long term fan of Will, and in his second biography you got a real sense that Will's a highly talented but complex and sensitive chap who has had to fight his depressive demons regularly. Consequently he would often struggle and have to push himself to even get up and out and "perform and record." He's naturally quiet and more private, so I think is happier writing his music, than perhaps coping with the whole public, fame side of things.

I thought that sensitivity came over in his acting and loved seeing a different side to him in Mrs. Henderson Presents. Which he reminded me of last night, when he started dancing, which I don't think any other singing guest has done before?
