Dreadful music for QS - it actually isn't a QS at all, but that doesn;t surprise me where Strictly is concerned. That does not seem to matter. Wouldn't think even Dave Arch can do too much with it.
Would be lovely, if only for 1 week, each series, that they use authentic ballroom and latin music, played at strict tempo. |

That was a god awful dance but I'm sure Aliona can produce something far more exciting.

Don't forget Pasha flying in on a cloud in week one.
![]() I stand corrected. Still wondering if we will get a flying Daniel though.

In my head I can imagine it as a quickstep but clearly it's not a good choice according to many on here. At least we closed off Jay gets all the best songs cos the producers clearly love him conspiracy.

According to It Takes Two, Daniel's dance has changed back to Foxtrot, as was originally mentioned before the songs were confirmed.

Right to all you Jay and Aliona hand wringers here is a Quickstep performed on DWTS Australia. Yeah the guy is not as talented as Jay but it really works

I understand the consternation around jay and Aliona song choice but I'm sure that somehow it will work on the night .

i'm back, i enjoyed movie week, my favourite dances were Georgia's Rumba ( it didn't have much rumba content, but i still enjoyed it), Jay's Jive ( the first 10 totally deserved), and Jeremy's Charleston ( i liked it and he put a smile on my face again)
i'm looking forward to Georgia's quickstep ( S Club 7 has got some nice party fun songs and reach is my favourite, and they are looking good in training), Jay's quickstep ( i think he can get a 10 for this quickstep as well), Ainsley's Waltz ( he's improving i saw a heel lead in training) so good luck to all couples |

Although not a fan of Jay & Aliona, I can see the spoils are being shared around following their nabbing one of the best pieces of music ever last week to the absolutely ridiculous choice of "My Generation" for a QS. I will be really interested to see the routine she comes up with here.

It could be marketed as a 'theme week'!
and the music aren't all bad S Club 7's Reach is more a quickstep than a Jive ( the Russell Grant one was a disaster, first being fired from a cannon, and lack of kicks and flicks). Helen has got a Gloria Estefan song for a Salsa, really party song ![]() now the music i don't like with the dance: The Who's My Generation is more a Jive song, as it is faster and more Rock song. Kirsty has drawn the short straw, with a Paso to U2 ( it isn't Paso Doble music). Espaņa Cani has been ruined by giving it to Carol&Pasha, i can't see it being very good ( but just being awful). |

I like that Carol and Pasha have suitable music. Some of the more able dancers could cope with dreadful song choices, but they are at the bottom of the leaderboard so need more help in delivering a decent dance.

It's deffo a jive over a quickstep. It's too slow for a QS.

well they don't choose their own music, so you can't blame the couples, it's the producers who choose the songs.
I was just saying that I'm pleased that this couple has suitable music so that Carol has a bit of a chance to dance as well as she can. |
