Jay's not long posted a picture of himself and Aliona eating! This is obviously a ploy to gain energy and strength with a view to producing another wonderful dance on Saturday.

Doesn't leave many options for the VT though, if he can't court popularity by going to visit his school and other tropes that every other contestant does.
Maybe he should just sit and flick Vs at the camera to fill the time. After all, he's got this competition in the bag... In fact they should cut to the test card whenever he dances to make it fairer for everybody else. |

Jay is a genuine, modest guy, and thankfully most of us can recognise that.
We can also recognise bitter, jealous individuals who can't bear the fact that he stole last weeks show, and I am sure will continue to do so. ![]() and I'm not bitter or jealous (how ridiculous).and he is pretending to look surprised after dancing knowing full well he is a good dancer and has had years of training. Not genuine in my eyes. He thinks he's on BB and he's playing a game.

![]() (His Mum was shocked too - if you read her lips she kept say 'My God' or 'My Goodness' over and over again.) Remember Vince Cable, who had done ballroom dance as a hobby for years, saying he learnt more from Erin in the couple of weeks preparing for the Christmas Strictly show than all the rest of his training put together. |

This is not the first time that Jay has been back to All Saints School to visit. He may have been more times but he was there in 2010 when he was hired for The Wanted. It is a normal secondary school.
If he wanted to tug at the heart strings, he could have used the fact that he is Patron of the Newark Centre for Bereaved Children, but he didn't. Before your cynicism takes over, he is apparently a very active Patron. http://newarkadvertiser.co.uk/articl...elps-Childrens |

Why bother going to the school? We never see much of their actual interactions with the people they meet, so these VTs which are supposed to give us an idea of their personalities don't achieve their goal. And all that time could have been spent practising instead, which the likes of Iwan would have benefited far more from. And every man-Jack of us wants to see the training clips.
I know it's Saturday night entertainment which is supposed to be less documentary, more razzamatazz, but the VTs aren't even that. And the midweek stuff -ITT- which is supposed to be less razzamatazz and more documentary isn't that either. The only logical explanation is that the producers of the show don't actually have much interest in dance. |

I'm just checking my post again for any attack .
Oh is this the week for contestant's children to appear ? Jay being a non-daddy has hijacked a whole school instead , very clever tactic there . Nope , no attack in there . Look , if jay (and Strictly) chooses cynical measures like batting his baby blues, looking pretendy shocked at compliments, having the cameras on his mum in the audience every week and hi-jacking whole schools of children then I see nothing wrong in expressing that some of us can see through it and can react in similar cynical manner . He's 25 years old for goodness sake ! He didn't just leave that school last year , OR the year before , nor even 5 years ago .Nor has he ever taught there . In fact he claims he was bullied at school for his interest in ballet . It's weird and a cynical use of children who have nothing to do with him in any way . Sorry , but I'm just not gullible enough to fall for it . i would never want any of them on my jury |

Its a good job that article was printed in 2014 otherwise Jay would be accused of doing this to win votes on Strictly. He also donated his hair to a charity which was a nice gesture. As far saying he puts on his shyness, I don't think he does. He was always the quiet one in The Wanted and was very much in the background.

This appearance on Strictly has been a long time in the planning though - about 15 or so years. It even meant setting up a tele programme, getting it established and 13 years down the line wham. You have to tip your hat to him.

I think all those Jay-nay-sayers are probably hired by Pete to take a heat off him
You could not move in this forum for somebody showing their dislike of him. Now that's changed. Mark my words, you heard it here first. Is that so, Pete lovers?

He thinks he's on BB and he's playing a game.![]() ![]() He was having great difficulty controlling his emotions because he didn't want to cry on TV, and what a field day his detractors would have had with that. Anyway, luckily Jay has many loyal followers, and I don't really care what you think, it certainly won't prevent Jay going all the way.

It looked to me like Aliona was eating (she is the professional after all
) and Jay was watching to get the technique. Bet he's secretly done eating before and he's just faking it for the publicity.Oh I think that is just a conspiracy theory. A friend of my OH's cousin's neighbour thought she once saw a picture of someone photographing Jay possibly eating something...but it was circa 2007 and she had just eaten a meal of self-foraged mushrooms herself... |

A previous visit to All Saints.
http://www.newarkadvertiser.co.uk/ar...o-goes-back-to Just to say that I haven't read Jay said he was "bullied" due to his ballet interest but "teased". To explain what the schools are like that he attended. (If you're interested) Holy Trinity is a much sought after Primary, due to their discipline policy and good manners. They have a strong Irish Dance group that Jay tried, but didn't like. All Saints Secondary? Well HT is the feeder and AS is quite a long school bus ride away, plenty of time in which to get "teased". For anyone whose children bus to school, you'll know what I mean. Neither school is in any way, "Stagey". Just normal schools. The Charlotte Hamilton dance school? I'd judge it as a local dance school where your kids go for fun or you go for tap lessons, but better than average and a very enthusiastic teacher. Not full time or anything though. I read that Jay's Mum went for tap and that's what sparked his interest in dance, after she took him along. I lost the story after that. Hope to see him tap though! I also read she attended baking lessons whilst pregnant, so expect his twin brother to storm to victory in next year's bake off. |

All this fuss and he hasn't even deployed any nans yet. Though I expect both his nans are world class ballroom dancers and have been teaching him since before he could walk.

Ahhhh, the sneaky boy, obviously getting extensive training in WHILST STILL IN HIS MOTHER'S WOMB (when she obviously started lessons, planning far ahead for her son win an as yet to be invented TV programme), I did read somewhere, although I can't find the pesky google link now, that when he was born the Doctor said it was the best birth ever and a midwife commented she'd never seen technique like it in a male baby.
