Have you ever seen any of the products in the shops?

During the series, one of the highlights is when they have to make a product from scratch and supposedly have to persuade the stores to buy these.

Have (m)any of these actually made it out into 'the real world', and has anyone bought any?

I don't think any of these shops actually buy the stuff, particularly the large retailers. Its just a question of would they in theory buy them.

As firefly says, most of the orders are hypothetical. Not always though. The orders on Series 2's calendar task were real, because they were raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. I think that the orders were real on last year's board game task as well, because some editions of The Relationship Guru found their way onto eBay after broadcast.

If I was a retailer, I'd buy a product even if it was awful, and then I'd wait until the episode had been shown to sell them. I think those things would sell just so that people could say they had something iconic that had been made on The Apprentice.

As I may have mentioned before...... The place where one set of apprentices made ice cream put a limited edition of the toffee apple ice cream on sale, and yes, I bought something!

It was delicious - but they had a big disclaimer notice saying that they had made all the corrections needed to make it commercially saleable, which apparently it wasn't when the apprentices made their version. Can't remember now exactly what they had to do, but it was the programmes flavouring they use Different!

When it's on a small scale like last year like when they sold the candles and board games from the stock that existed , these would have been available to buy from the stores shown on the show. Obviously the deserts from last year were never launched as that wouldn't have been viable. I prefer the tasks where it is real stock and sales as its about pricing as well as selling a concept to a buyer.

I haven't seen any of the Apprentice products for sale, but I did see popcorn biscuits for sale recently in my local supermarket... so someone nicked Melody's idea.

Labeling maybe, that kind of thing has a lot of regulations but it doesn't ever seem to pop up on the show.

IIRC Philip developed and marketed the Body Rocker himself after the Apprentice, so it wouldn't quite have been the one seen in the show.

That was Bianca. She seems to be doing quite well:

A toy shop in Hampstead had a few examples of the winning board game on sale, after the series was shown. I was quite surprised to see this in the "real" world
