He looks dark skinned to me, but that could be the lighting. I am thinking an Earth 2 version of someone we haven't seen yet.

Wally West
Eddie Thawn
Barry's dad
Jay I would say is also possible (whichever version)
And just to throw a complete wildcard into the mix Oliver Queen

I think we have had a clue, in the form of the code they kept tapping out to say Jay, but cannot think of anyone who would use that type of code.

Maybe Oliver Queen? He was a prisoner on the island.

Assuming that Zoom/Jay isn't from Earth 1 or 2 maybe The Man In The Mask is the Barry Allen from the same Earth.

I'm going zoom is Jay from Earth 1, I'm sure we'll get some flashback episode from the 6 months we missed.

The thing that annoys me most about Arrow is the constant flashbacks to the island. I mean how many times did Olly go back and forth to that island before he returned to Star City???

The flashbacks were ok in the first season, but it's something I hate most about the show now.

Well he hasn't really been touched on, only that brief conversation with Caitlin when Jay explained about his Earth 1 variant.

The constant flashbacks annoy me too. They're also confusing. They really started to annoy me in the second season.

With the helmet and dark skin, I was thinking Dig but it could be Wally West from Earth 2

If Jay is dying why couldn't they just leave him to die? Reopening the portal seemed a bit pointless to me.

Also it was nice of them to all hide in that room where Zoom couldn't get in and totally forget Wally lol.

I'm guessing that at the start of the latest episode when Barry is testing his speed and disappears through a blue portal then reappears a few seconds later is how he ends up in the episode of Supergirl?

That has to be where he does it as afterwards they make the Tachyon Accelerator smaller but he's wearing the larger version when he travels to Supergirl's Earth.

Only problem is that apart from a vague "I'm back" Barry makes no mention of it.

Perhaps the Man in the Mask is yet another version of Zoom from another point in his personal timeline

The man in the mask has to be Wally West from Earth 2

so with Barry "dead" ...what's the money on Wally becoming the flash and Jesse becoming Jesse Quick ? after being hit by the particle accelerator

Kid Flash or Impulse, perhaps?

And yes to Jesse Quick. I hope the speed equation comes into it somewhere.

I think Barry may have gone into the speed force .... and then dissipated into those two

and maybe the guy in the mask is Barry

Do you really think they'd actually kill off the main character?
Surely he can't really be dead.

Of course he's not dead. Can't believe anyone would think he was.

No I don't hence the reason I put "dead" and not dead

Now that's a damn good theory and one I hadn't thought of. He could have sort of gone into those two and they realise after a while and have to get him out and then they loose their speed. I wouldn't like to see three speedsters as it takes away from Barry with 3 having the ability.

It annoyed me that they figured out how to communicate with him, and even got "JAY" from him which they must now realise was a big clue, but when Caitlin goes there she doesn't even know he exists. You'd think they'd have shared everything that happened in Zoom's prison. The show is better than it was, but still relies on stupid lack of communication.

Handing all the speed force to Zoom was maybe not the smartest move, either. It made Zoom harder to stop, and reduced their ability to stop him. It's already led to the death of many, which was wholly predictable.

It was predictable when Barry wanted to reopen the portal, should never have done that.

I only just caught up with the second half of the season, could someone explain the 'good' Jay being another version of Zoom?
