To be fair, Cat did suspect at one point. I put it down to cognitive dissonance
(I never thought Calista Flockhart had a lot going on upstairs, not even in Ally McBeal...)

Enjoyed the episode but one things left me slightly confused.
What did Barry do with the actual Barry from that timeline for him to be around for 3 months without the other turning up?

There was no other Barry. That Barry would have "disappeared" when the time line was altered. Remember it was not a different Earth, just a different timeline

Enjoyed the return. Still the best of all the DC shows.
Both Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow are fighting pretty hard to take that spot with their second seasons, I've preferred their episodes so far to all except the latest Flash episode.

Why didn't Barry just tell everyone about the timeline when they were all sitting round the dinner table? (After all, this is a group of people who DO know about timelines!) It would have been easier to hammer out all the pros & cons there. (And he'll have to tell them about their 'alternate selves' - because 'motormouth Barry' will unthinkingly drop bits out anyway... )

The second episode was much better than the first but I am really enjoying the new season.

Haven't gotten around to watching Supergirl or Arrow yet. I said to myself I would watch the first 4 episodes of Arrow this season to see if it was any better than last season. And, if it wasn't I would give up on it.

Think he felt bad he messed everything up and was too afraid to tell everyone, so tried fixing it himself. But eventually knew he had to tell the truth when the other speedster turned up.

Oh, he seriously felt bad - poor Barry! I just think it would have been a good time, while they were all there and not at work? The thing is, they all know what he's like - the guy hasn't got a bad bone in his body, he only ever wants to 'do the right thing'...

The thing is though, he's a selfish little p***k...knowing full well that he shouldn't mess with the timeline, but poor Barry, sod everyone else as long as Barry is ok and not give a toss about his friends.

Not quite fair? He's reckless and often thoughtless - but he realised that he had to go back and suffer the death of his mother all over again, to try and put things right. I think he does give a toss about his friends - but he just screws up a lot? (The more I think about it, I think he's the embodiment of ADHD, lol...)

I guess we're supposed to assume that..

Spoiler

And was I the only one thinking that the tanker ship scene needed a cameo by Sir Ian McKellen saying "impressive... but this is how you do it"
(and yes, I know he's Marvel, not DC.)

I'm keeping up with the Flash, but it's slightly lagging behind the others I think? (In terms of interest and entertainment.) It's all a bit confused, and I just want to slap the other Wells and send him back! (I'm kind of over that character in many ways - and he's acted so weirdly by Tom Cavanagh, he delivers his lines like he's on speed!) Kids creating holographic monsters? Puh-leeeze.... (However, they did recently feature the gorgeous Snart - and for that I can forgive them anything! )

my biggest query this week is why wouldn't Caitlin tell them she is a meta human .... i mean they found out Jesse had gained powers ... sisco is a meta as is barry and they all helped them learn to control their powers and it would be another person to help them with any new threats ....and it can be because she was evil on Zooms earth because so was sisco. I know it probably has something to do with a later plot point most likely but still just seem odd to me

I'm really liking Tom Felton, thought his performance in this episode was pretty good. Also I've only just remembered there is bad guy in this season, but it doesn't seem like that's going anywhere at the moment and the flashpoint wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be so far.

I assume it would be precisely because she was evil on Earth 2.

She has been getting evil urges, though. Almost killing that guy.

Still, all the more reason to warn the friends she's spending time in close proximity to really!

Exactly - if she can't tell THAT lot, who can she tell?! (And mummy dearest doesn't look exactly like the perfect understanding parent, does she? )

Exactly they could do an intervention or something

About Cisco's vibe where he saw him and Caitlin/Killer Frost fighting. They both automatically asumed that in that scenario she was the villain and he was the hero but it could easily be vice versa.

I'm also pretty sure that the only reason they introduced HR's facechanging gizmo was that they plan on having it go on the blink at the most inconvenient moment

Possibly; but they could hardly keep him inside StarLabs for the whole season.

True. They could just send him back to Earth XIX and done with it.

I just caught up on all the episodes so far in the UK and am still really enjoying the series. Not caught up with Supergirl or Arrow yet; hoping the latter gives me a reason to keep watching after the poor last couple of seasons.

DC's actually good this year? I never got around to watching season 1 and I'm not sure I want given the really poor reviews and comments on it.

but so was sisco ....
The difference being that Caitlin's powers are affecting her personality too as we saw in the episode with her mother. However given that Caitlin was also able to do good things as Killer Frost, it's possible for her to not be completely 'evil'.

Indeed. It could definitely be a twist we'll see.

Looks like we'll find out tomorrow. (Not a spoiler; it's in the synopsis!)

And then next week's the four-night, four-episode cross-over
