Xmas show

Titles & Intro
-> When all the men are wearing black suits with white shirts, Tom is wearing those black and white shoes again (all the other males wearing black shoes).

-> Woman in red (hereafter known as WIR) sat right next to the judges is the star of the "what's happening in the background or what's said quietly" Xmas show. Here she steadfastly refuses to clap along with the masses on cue e.g. when mentioning Shirley Bassey being on the program (although she gives in and claps when the judges come on) although is pointing and commenting on something that they are wearing).

Lisa and Pasha
-> Good effort at disguising the fact that Pasha and Lisa were height mis-matched (both are 1.78m according to Google). I would imagine that TPTB were racking their brains and hence came up with the mad hatter hat concept for Pasha to add those inches. Standing alongside one another when being introduced, her head is considerably higher (in heels) than his and it's only his hat that stops this being so noticable.

-> WIR is overcompensating for non clapping earlier by clapping all the way through Lisa's QS..... although is the first one to sit down after Lisa's standing ovation

-> Brendan being the first one to congratulate LIsa in the Clauditorium. (being Lisa's previous partner on the show)

-> Who is that man in the Santa's helper costume stood to the behind left of Claudia (let alone the snowman)

-> Janette and Karen wearing the same dresses as one another.... nice one Wardrobe!

-> Giovanni looking a tad bemused at the Christmas Carols and doesn't know the words bless him and Aljaz giving it his best, and poor old Pasha needs some lessons from Rachel at good old British Christmas Carols as well.

Alison & Robin
(not even mentioning the hefty shove that Alison gives Robin sending him flying during the dance)

-> WIR is over eager to sit again and the first bum in seat yet again

-> Aljaz (Alison's previous partner)being the first there for Alison in the Clauditorium and both giving one another one of those fake air kisses which was a shame (presumably in fear of her dire coloured lippy)

-> Janette desperating trying to peer around the shoulder of Alison with little bobs and so gives up and stands on the sofa instead.

-> Robin eating a big mouthful of raw potato with a "that wasn't so digusting as I thought it was going to be, but the second the camera is off I'm hurling this out" look on his face

Casey and Natalie
-> WIR considers the early seat not once but twice but reconsiders and waits until others sit down this time

-> Casey getting a high five from Tom and giving Alison a kiss on the cheek in the Clauditorium

-> Santa's helper is still there and stil don't have a clue why/who

-> Oh Janette is annoying here. Starts off pushing past Tom to get a prime camera spot on the far left behind Claudia then sees Karen getting more airtime between Casey and Natalie so moves on over to behind Casey in the middle .... and then bahm, she's right there in camera shot in front of Karen between Natalie and Casey on the right. Casey and Natalie hug obscuring her and the scores are coming so it's a swift shuffle back between Claudia and Casey to get in-camera...... and whoop, that's not enough so she jumps up in the air for no apparent reason.

Abbey and Brendon
-> WIR likes this one and is one of the last to sit

-> Aljaz (Abbey's previous partner)giving Brendon a high ten upon enterance to the Clauditorium and clapping hands again later

Harry and Joanne
-> Janette starts off on behind Harry's shoulder and bahm she's moved to the far left by Alison again for no apparent reason other than right at the front of camera shot again

Tom and Oti 57.58
-> In the Clauditarium poor old Tom is desperate to get Oti to pull a cracker with him. Oti holds it and when he goes to take it then Oti gives it Tom. So he asks her to pull it.... and she waggles it instead of pulling and they are both left holding it and finally they pull it some 30 seconds later (which is a long time in the Clauditorium).... and then Oti waggles it around (bye bye lame joke, party hat and plastic toy)

All stars dance
-> Yep Tom has his black and white shoes on again

The end
-> It's a bit cruel to have a picture of a slow moving turtle on the fake tv screen at the time that Alison is sat there changing channels to the judges and Craig groin thrusting (yuk)

-> Claudia being embarrassed when being picked up and spun around by Anton

In the opening Whiney Houston group number in the final, Gleb is going through a doorway. Does he hit his head on the top of the doorway? Either that or he does a quick dancer-y head flick to his left.

Also at the end, Jay mouths "Perfect!".

Greg moved straight away to Natalie when they were paired, before Natalie could move - usually other way round

The bit that made me lol was in the clauditorium talking to Judge Rinder and he completely lost his train of thought because he was oogling Oksanas boobs

Rinder was also either wilfully off-message or completely distracted when he was the only one not to shout "Conga!" at Claudia's cue. Loving him a lot already, despite not knowing him from Adam before Strictly

Really...I thought "Exhibits A&B" would be totally lost on The Judge...



Oti wraps her arms around Tameka stomach and whispers something to her as she and Gorka reach the top of the stairs to which Tameka responds - was anyone able to lip read?

Quite a few times in the group dance, it is evident that Pasha is helping Naga through it...positioning and guiding her etc. Perhaps he was her dance "chaperone" in practice and that's how they came to be eventually paired together.

Brendan jumping up and down and round and round in the background in response to Tameka's "..got myself a corker here!" joke.

After Naga and Pasha are paired, she sits down on his knee (slightly off balance) and points her far leg up in the air (Ta-raa!)
He immediately pulls her leg down and across her other leg, and waggles his eyebrows, I suspect that he realised that her pose meant the audience could see right up her skirt and wanted to save her any embarrassment.

Yes that one made me chuckle.

I also laughed at Will carrying Leech-Karen off and saying in an out of breath stage whisper "I can't do the stairs"

Him saying a muffled, "She's a bit clingy, but we can work on that" from inside her octopus-hug was probably the moment I decided to support him. #releasewill

Did anyone catch what Lesley said to Anton as they were doing the customary hand-in-hand jog to Claude Nine? She seemed to stop rather abruptly before the stairs and say something out of the corner of her mouth.

That line really reminded me of his pop idol days. Gently and politely sarcastic. It's what made me adore him all those years ago

I love Will Young and am not ashamed to say I have done since his Pop Idol days! He is really funny and quick witted, so chuffed he is on the show.
