Anyone notice what's happening in the background or what's said quietly?

Did Jay say "that was rubbish" at the end of their AT?

The incredibly loud audience applause when Jay and Aliona were announced by Tess and Claudia . The very loud audience response before their dance, during and after. And the audience going " awwwwwwwww " when Jay said he hoped he'll be here next week to work on his character. I did go awwww as well; what a sweetheart, he's so lovely.

I did notice Brendan saying " yes, you will " ...when Jay said that ( a bit sarcastically ; my interpretation of course ). He looked like he wanted to roll his eyes at the whole thing

I like to see those who are saved, on 'Sundays' - mouth...or, say a thank you to the public.

They don't all do it !!

I am a bit deaf so I might just have been hearing things.

I heard it! They sung it at least twice and did a great job! I have no idea what the original line is and how close it is to Pernice though!

I looked up the lyrics just to be sure I was not hearing things.

Oh, well spotted - that's funny if they did! I just rewatched and they sang it four times... (well, maybe )

The chorus is:

Volare, ohohoho...
Cantare, ohohoho...
Nel blu dipinto di blu
Felice di stare lassù.

Felice - Pernice ???? Hmmm. Needs another listen!

Edit: Nope sorry, it's felice

English:
Flying, ohohoho...
Singing, ohohoho...
Blue painted in the blue
Happy to be up there

I would always thank the public for taking the time to vote for me if i was a celeb, wonder if those that dont alienate some who have voted for them?

The band sang a slower Gypsy Kings version which is in Spanish and Italian. The refrain contains the word Italian word "Felice". I thought they sang "Felice" not "Pernice".

I thought that too! I wasn't sure what the original was and how similar it perhaps sounded to Pernice, or whether they had changed it quite a bit! And Giovanni seemed to grin at that point too.

Had another watch, one definitely sounds like Pernice whereas the others are probably Felice. Even so, the similarity is quite fitting!

I distinctly remember Abbey Clancy being severely criticized for it. She didn't always look right at the camera to say that. People thought she was ungrateful and full of herself ( comments I read on the bbc blog at the time) but it just seemed to me that she wasn't doing it on purpose.
I cringe at the OTT thank yous of some contestants; some of them really over do-it ...Susanna Reid, Jason Donovan and Peter Andre come to mind.

I thought I heard Pernice sung a couple times too, but thought it must have just been me! Glad others thought so too and I thought he had a little grin, loved his samba style!

The worst was Pamela Stephenson, she made such a meal of it, you would have thought she was mouthing it for people learning to lip-read.

I'd rather they didn't, I'd rather it was spontaneous than the almost scripted and over the top way it's done now with many of them saying thank you 6 or 7 times looking right down the eye of the correct camera. They're all grateful, that's a given, surely? Well, apart from a few of the pros.

I agree I'd rather see their spontaneous reaction with their partner.

Now they seem to all shout yes, hug for 1.8 seconds then push eachother away to turn to camera for their heartfelt thankyou.

It's annoying. They can say thankyou on ITT. Just jump up and down hug and share your joy on the actual show.

I think it was "do you promise" he asked her if it was ok, she said yes, then he said "do you promise?" I had to listen with headphones a few times to get it as he puts his head in her shoulder and mumbles.

Yes, Peter Andre always says - Thank you. Those who 'dislike' him, on here, will find fault, anyway. Damned if he does.......

During Jay in the Clauditorium, when Jay was praising the hair and make-up: Peter Andre started to clap- then stopped quickly when no-one else joined in!! made me laugh
He did that again last night but I can't remember who he was praising.

Peter Andre "milks it" at every opportunity, some of his "fawning" is really cringeworthy and seems so false and unnecessary.

Why the heck is Pernice fitting?

''Pernice is a dispersed settlement in the hills northwest of Muta in the historical Styria region in northern Slovenia, right on the border with Austria.''
