Anyone notice what's happening in the background or what's said quietly?

Am I missing something or are you overthinking it? Pernice is Giovanni's last name and it sounded like they were singing that instead of Felice, though in fact they probably weren't but it was an amusing thought.

Did anyone else notice Claudia's muffled 'don't cuddle me' to Peter Andre after he flung himself on her at the end of the charleston? As no-one else has said anything, I'm beginning to think I made it up!

I didn't notice her saying it but I was at her glaring eyes warning him not to touch her

On listening with headphones on, Pernice was only in the repeated bit at the end of the song.

Pernice is Giovanni's surname and Pernice rhymes with felice.

I watched it again and again and I just can't decide if they say Pernice a couple of times, they might have well said. What Bruno said in Italian translates roughly as, "Look, look, so brave, you two are so beautiful, she's like a ballerina"

She's said something along the same lines before, it seems she "doesn't do hugs".

Thanks guys.
I didn't know that.

This is not the first time I feel an idiot on this forum.
Apologies.

Trouble is, when written Pernice seems like it should be said Per-niece/Per-nice. Where the pronunciation is Per-ni-chay.

I thought on the first hearing that they were singing "Pernice", and not being that familiar with the words of the song, I just thought it was co-incidence that they were singing a song with Giovanni's surname in it.

I have to say, I love the SCD band and think they come in for alot of unjustified stick, but it's the first time I've watched a dance back, not to watch the dance but to listen to the song - I thought they did a brilliant version of it.

I'm sure Claudia wouldn't be complaining if Jay shuffled over for a hug. And she didn't seem to mind Giovanni dancing with her when the voting opened. I think it's just a normal reaction to the Andre coming anywhere near her!

Only if you're English. Correct pronunciation in Italian is PerniTCHE, like FeliTCHE, and not CHAY. Trust me on that one

I do, my mangling of pronunciations is obvious.

Mine is not all that either but I grew up hearing Italian whether I liked it or not

To be fair, the band did sing it as FELL-EE-chay
(or pu-nee-chay, if they said that)
..but of course you should roll the 'r' in Pernice, too

It means Partridge, I think ... John Partridge

Jeez, his dance technique has plateaued, but his mental age is regressing!

The sudden, expected appearance of Ashley Taylor-Dawson's head, slowly gliding into shot from an absurdly unreal angle (back when Ola was queen of the phone-lines-are-open segment) will always remain one of my favourite happy memories of the show... Perfect timing. Genius angle. Priceless expression. Gets a 10 from me, everytime I think about it

Anyone?

Seems as though SCD stars are at each others throats:

Anton bowing to Jamelia as she came into the Claudatorium after her waltz.

She looked so pleased.

.... and that is sourced from The Sun originally and we all know how little credence is paid to facts in that rag. Fiction concocted by a wannabe showbiz reporter banking on the fact that just because it is about SCD that people will read it.

"Sources said last night"
"One said"
"We revealed"
"The source added"

Even the BBC couldn't be bothered to respond which about says it all "A BBC spokesman last night declined to comment"

Ballerina in Italian also means dancer. I think Bruno meant real dancer yesterday.

She said "I'll cuddle you", sort of begrudgingly. You can tell, because Peter immediately mirrors her, saying "SHE CUDDLED ME!" to Janette right afterwards. I don't think she was into it, but it wasn't quite that one time when Tess actually snapped "get off me" under breath and shoved Bruce's hand off her arse.

What always makes me laugh about these stories is that everyone is deemed to have tens, if not hundreds, of unreliable people around them. How many people do these celebrities know?! And why are none of them kind or trustworthy? "A source close to the star..." what a load of rubbish haha
