Anyone notice what's happening in the background or what's said quietly?

Ps ballerini probably means something like professional dancers rather than just 'ballerina' as we understand it in english. Maybe someone else can clarify that ?[/QUOTE]

Think you are right. I have Italian Ballroom/Latin dancing friends and they are "Ballerino Professionista".

Added...sorry for the duplicated post, should have checked back as it has been answered already.

Jay looking so solemn in the background a lot of the time. He doesn't seem to feel the Joy of it in the same way as others who genuinely seem to be having fun whether good or bad. He is a very intense young man.

Peter was having a chat with someone right at the back of Claude 9 early in the show, I think it was when jay was being interviewed.

Jay was most likely subdued the rest of the evening last night because of the judges comments . As if Craig's harsh critique wasn't enough, he had to criticize Jay once again while judging another couple .
I have seen him in the auditorium every week always happy to cheer others on and engaging with them (maybe except the QS as well when he felt really awful after the dance) . Last week when Claudia was reading the phone numbers, he lifted janette and twirled with her happily .....he is really enjoying the strictly experience like ALL of them.

Helen looked quite worried/subdued last week after her rumba for the rest of the evening; does it mean that she is not enjoying her strictly experience ?
Not everyone has it in them to smile and be cheerful all the time even with a " bad " dance or bad judges comments.

I prefer the natural look to the "switch it on like a light bulb" one.

I'm not sure Intense is the correct word.......I think he is enjoying the experience and this comes across on ITT, but not everybody has to push themselves forward to grab as much of the spotlight as they can, nor does everybody always want to do this. I am much happier in the background.

He, Aliona and Georgia were having a great time in the background at the end of the show, he had a Blackpool style hat on, and the 3 of them were engrossed in chatting and laughing together.

When Helen and Aljaz arrived at the Clauditorium I got a bit of a chuckle over Janette wanting to congratulate her finance on his dance, but the other guy Pros detained him long enough that she only got a little hug* in with Helen. That hug indicates to me that Helen probably isn't as stand-offish as the tabloids would like to portray.

eta: *it was more of a two-hand squeeze than a hug. I got carried away with the description.

Anyone notice the band around 3 of Jeremy's fingers on his right hand at the end of their routine, was surreptitiously removed whilst keeping his hand in a pocket before heading up to the Clauditorium.

Noticed Jay and Georgia laughing right at the end in the Claudatorium - Jay ended up with Georgia's hat on.

I like them both - young and full of life (though you have to see Jay on ITT to see it )

I didn't find Helen stand-offish in the beginning, I just didn't warm to her. However, over the course of the show and hearing her more in interviews I quite like her. No one should pay any attention to tabloid trash anyway.

A slightly bewildered looking Nadya from Bake Off in the audience with her husband, just after Kellie and Kevins routine

Keeping fingers together for his Ballroom - connection with Karens back. Prevents "banana hands"

I think Jay and Helen are just naturally more introverted personalities. I'm like that myself with an extra helping of resting b!tch face, and get so sick of random people telling me to "cheer up, it might never happen".

Hah! I too have 'resting bitch face', I've lost count of the times people have asked me 'what's wrong?' or 'why did you look at me like that?' when I've been having perfectly pleasant thoughts. It's curse I tell you! I think

Helens the same and it's compounded for her by her clearly dreadful nerves.

I prefer real people and responses to the lights camera action fraudsters...that profess to be natural

I too suffer from 'resting bitch face'

With Jay I think it takes him a little longer to get back in the zone after he dances, especially when he's had a bad week. He said ITT that he focuses on the negative comments at first so Craigs harsh comments, then the dig he gave Jay commenting on Katie, will have been playing on his mind. On ITT he is always so relaxed and witty and I do believe he is really enjoying his experience on the show.
Helen got a bit of a bad time at the start with people accusing her of being bitchy. Maybe she is just shy/introverted? I know I've been accused of being bitchy because of my shyness before. I love waving all the little background moments, it's lovely seeing everyone having fun and supporting each other.

Last week

Claudia crying when Jeremy went out and Tess hugging her

Aljaz hugging Jay at the end - perhaps because of Jay's grandad being poorly?

Not really in the background, but almost a scrum for the celebrities to get to hug Jeremy. Then Aljaz and Brendan?? lifting Jeremy up.

Anyone notice anything in last night's ITT?

Craig on the flying guitar saying to Claudia and Tess - 'Get me off this thing".

Think it hasn't been lowered enough and it was an awkward reach over.

Jeremy in the audience being really excited over Kellie's dance.

You can always tell when Bruno's going to give a ten cause he looks like an excited kid about to pee his pants when the others give their scores.

Noticed Kellie practically shoving Kevin out of the way not just once but twice so she could be in her usually front row spot in the Clauditorium

You must be mistaken Kellie would never do that she is far to shy to force herself in front of the Camera.
