Dan was a really nice chap.

NB. I would not buy food off individuals in the street.

I thought Dan came across quite well in YF: at least he didn't have his head up his own @rse like so many of them

I preferred YF to Extra Slice, which I gave up on, as that seemed to be more about Jo Brand reading bad jokes off an autocue than having a chat (or putting through the wringer) the unsuccessful candidate, who barely had 5 mins on ES. At least we had Dan for the best part of the show.

PS I like Ruth as well.

Off now to read the thread for Ep 2

And when it comes to picking the winner of this show - who has sold the most won't come into it, and he'll say things like 'yes you can sell but I need more from my business partner'...Firing Dan is a waste in my view, you'd surely rather go into business with him then the two arrogant candidates who survived.”

I think Dan lost in the boardroom, not the task. When Lord Sugar asked him who he should fire, he didn't have an answer. If you can't assess your fellow candidates, and diagnose where a task went wrong, then you probably aren't fit to manage staff or projects in a business on the scale Lord Sugar expects.

Hi folks, can't believe I missed the start, but forgot it was on, and only heard about it some hours ago, so watched it on iplayer a short time ago, and Fish episode is over.

However think it was interesting to watch how the Candidates performed, or not ,and who was notceable.
Ruth did well I thought, and only one with gumption.

Where Dan went wrong was to say how inept he was in that task.

I can see April getting above herself as the series progresses, and if she remains that is..

Brett is the weakest one I feel, as he seems to have something to prove, and should be on edge more often than not.

As for the females in general, they seem to be a bossy lot, while the chaps excel in talk.

Enjoyed watching Claude more than the Candidates. Karren wasn't bad, and doesn't LS look younger than last series.
