When you saw various snatches of different tasks in the weeks to come, you could pretty much rule out a few people from this week's firing.

Are there always such clear hints? I can't remember

Usually, but I find that they flash past so quickly that I don't really take that much notice. To start with, they're just random faces anyway, before you've got to know them. You can work it out if you watch meticulously, but there's no obligation to do that.

Fair enough. It's probably just because there was one particular candidate I had my eye on, as I have them in the office sweepstake

Yeah, those spoilers are always in the preview bits. Which is why I already knew that the PM would not get fired tonight.

Last year, they even showed a clip from task 6

In fact, combining the intro and the trailer for tomorrow's episode, you can already work out who gets fired.


P.S. The launch trailer also had spoilers in them, it was for the whole week, so you already knew that certain candidates would survive tonight (2 male and 4 female).

Yep, if you decide to follow the spoilers thread throughout the series you will see that a lot of spoilers come from the preview sections. Some forum members can work out exactly who is fired in certain episodes just from watching these.

Oh, is that what they're based on? I assumed the spoilers would come from "moles" at the You're Fired recordings, like on the Strictly forum.

Not that I'm interested in looking at any spoilers.

Yeah I try and avoid watching it too closely but it is heavily riddled with spoilers .

A lot of the spoilers are based on the previews, yes.

Also, sometimes members of the public take photos of the candidates doing tasks and post them on the internet. Pretty sure there have even been photos leaked of the candidates at the interview stage, although they haven't been the best quality.

Going to try and avoid spoilers this year, but will check out the spoilers thread after the show has finished, it's always an interesting read.

They are based on three things:

1) previews/intro (at the start of each episode; which change after a few episodes, so include stuff from later episodes)

2) photos from twitter/tabloids (for instance four of the final five in series 9 where spotted in the building of the interviews in the lounge and the picture went on twitter and last year an on-line magazine showed some pictures of the final 8 ahead of a task briefing).

3) moles. As you say from You're Fired recordings, just your average audience members spiling the beans (although in the past that has proven to be the most unreliable source; no picture/footage proof).


So, a bit different from SCD, as that is live and options 1 and 2 are not in play there,

I am completely avoiding spoilers this year, as last year felt a bit flat when I knew who was going. So when I was watching the episode last night, it was even then extremely difficult to avoid finding out who survives!

I've decided I'll be ignoring the first 2-3 minutes or so of every episode until it gets to the bit where the phone rings at silly o'clock. I can't be doing with any sort of spoilers. I also always change channel as soon as the narrator starts saying about how many candidates are left/Lord Sugar's search for a business partner continues" as I don't want any spoilers as to what sort of task is on the next show.

Aww, that's one of my favourite moments - I love the music at that point alongside the atmospheric skyline footage...
