The boardroom - a thought

Afternoon everyone.

Just a random thought, but with it being mentioned that the boardroom stage can take hours and hours each day, but we only see maybe 20mins or so of it overall, is it worth maybe on the official Youtube channel (not sure if the show itself has one or if it'd have to be the BBC one) after every episode putting up the full boardroom showdowns?

I appreciate it might not be the best idea due to the length (potentially maybe 4-8 hours?) meaning it's hard for most people to watch it all, least of all in one go, which I guess ideally is what you'd want to do, but just wondered what people thought of the idea. I accept I may get shot down for making the suggestion due to the length of the boardroom showdowns.

I think it's a good idea. If the full boardroom is too long, just show more than we actually see on the programme.

And whilst we're at it, show more of the task as well.

absolutely pointless logistically for the apprentice team, and far too long to sit through for the audience

I think we're highly unlikely to see this, for the simple reason that it would lay bare all the major editing that goes on to portray candidates how the producers want them to be portrayed and steer the "narrative" (as with all reality TV, be it Strictly's training VTs or Big Brother's highlights packages). Viewers would be up in arms at the smoke and mirrors.

Well, they wouldn't be if the cards were more on the table, would they?

Up in arms at the realisation of what smoke and mirrors have been in place is what I mean. It would expose how "storylined" anything like The Apprentice is.

But I think most people probably know that. Given that the candidates are generally quite successful in their own lives, you can't seriously imagine that they are as stupid as they appear on the show?

I think that the producers would gain more respect by showing more, it would show everyone in a fairer light than they are currently.

Somehow I don't think that's really the point of reality (sic) TV...

Well, I mean I was on Fifteen to One recently, and one of my fellow contestants was disappointed that to save time they cut out quite a difficult question that he answered correctly. Obviously that needs to happen occasionally because of time constrictions on broadcast, but with the Internet we have more of a medium to show those parts that end up on the cutting room floor.

It would be good, but probably only the most diehard apprentice fans would watch it, so I doubt they would bother unfortunately.
