I wonder if Daniel dropped Kristina in one of the lifts in the dance off

I am looking forward seeing exactly what the mistake/s were

Is the same going to happen with Kirsty this year? ”

There's always a Lisa Snowden/Heather Small/Simon Webbe type, but they're normally in the bottom two against somebody genuinely a worse dancer (unless it's Pixie Lott then it's just a better dancer but the celeb's not doing the live tour so we can throw them under a bus...)

However, Kirsty and Daniel were both first timers in the bottom two, so there was no indication whether either one is more or less popular than the other. The next time Kirsty's in, she'd only survive if up against either Carol or Jeremy- or unless one of the more middling celebs like Audley has an absolute disaster that week! If she was up against any of the top scorers she'd be out in a flash!

I'll miss Daniel, he's grown on me over the past few weeks.
Thanks for the spoiler!

Even poor Jesus would be in the dance off and poll lower than someone like Carol Kirkwood with the fan base but can't dance brigade!

Looking at the scores, Jeremy must have got more public votes than Daniel, Kirsty and at least one other celebrity. I suspect his entertainment value will keep him in for a couple more weeks.

The male contestants are dropping like flies.

We are all thinking about the popularity/unpopularity of the celebrities but what about the professional dancers? They have their own groups of avid supporters/detractors.
How much are Kristina's image or Brendan channelling James Jordan factors in people's choices?

Just managed to log on to check the result. Sorry to read the negative comments about Daniel.

Its hardly a shock result Daniel going, as hes not the best dancer. However, I have enjoyed watching his dances far more than I have Kirstys. He appears to be enjoying it more (or at least he manages to show the audience that hes enjoying it more).”

That's pretty much how I feel.

With Bruno and Craig pushing for Daniel to 'give it everything', I don't think Daniel will be too disappointed to go out now. He put in a respectable performance and more people like him now than when he started IMO.

Thanks abagailsmum and the mole, for the spoiler - much appreciated.

She was 100% entitled to have the sarcastic comment about the music, whichever member of the production team choose that piece of music for a Paso needs their P45 sharpish.

The correct music for a dance is 50% of the enjoyment of it. Kirsty is being short-changed by the choices made for her and good on her she is giving as good as she gets.

Thanks to abigailsmun for her sterling work in organising this thread every week.

Now the Tories have the BBC by the short and curlies I'm afraid the monetary cost would be too much, aside from the fact all the people involved in bringing SCD to our screens have normal lives too and getting them all together 24 hours later would be a nightmare.

Notwithstanding the results show has always been filmed same day as the Show.

I agree, but another poster a few weeks back did say I was vile for my opinion of him

Oh and if you visit the shrine that is his mammy's house it costs about £30 for a mug with his face.

Yes the way he spoke to Claudia sounded as though he was making a farewell speech!

I don't think I've ever seen Kristina so covered up as she was last night - it's been quite entertaining from that point of view

If the judges were to take notice of the way the public vote goes then they wouldn't be doing their job would they. Their job is to judge the performances based on how well they dance. The popularity rating of the celeb is irrelevant to that.

Yes, Daniel's speech to Claudia was very much a farewell speech.

Have to say I'm always a bit suspicious when they have a multiple tie in the leaderboard, though I'm not good enough with numbers to understand how that would affect who was in the bottom two. He did seem to be saying goodbye, though.

Tie in points on the leaderboard is dangerous for those up, because those in the bottom need fewer points from the public to get higher. So somebody popular from the bottom is saved easier at the expense of somebody higher who is less popular. If there is a massive tie on the judges leaderboard nobody is safe.
