Horse Racing Ascot Champions Day Comp
I thought it might add a bit of spice to Champions Day if we had a comp !
Trying to think of something different and I've come up with the idea of 'Ante-Post' So basically I will post the Betting Forecasts from the Sporting Life and those are the odds you will get on your selections, so like ante-post betting you are 'taking the price' You have to use your judgment as to whether the odds available represent a good bet or not.........if there's anything in there that you think is massively overpriced then pick it ! Obviously we don't want any last minute Johnnies waiting to see how the betting goes so all entries must be in today. Rules Pick one horse from each race Stakes - £2 win or £1 EW 'Usual' bookie terms apply to EW bets Bets to be settled on odds available as per SL Forecast Non runner - stake lost Selections must be posted before Midnight on Friday 16th October 2015 I think that's pretty straightforward but please post any queries and I'll make up some more rules if necessary !....... ![]() Let's see how it goes........if we get a few entries it could become a regular addition for those one-off days that don't merit a 'Festival' competition but which racing fans would like to have a dabble in. |

Cheers guys, 10 entries.........that's a good turn out !
No non runners as of now James was the only one brave enough to go for Gleneagles !...... ........the latest is that they'll make a decision after Ryan Moore had ridden in the first couple of races unless it rains during the morning in which case they'll pull him outAs regards updates I'll see how it goes.........there's so much on today with the racing, soccer, rugby, cycling and cricket that I think my head's going to be spinning this afternoon trying to watch everything........

this messing about with minus numbers is a bit of a hassle so I'll adopt the DL strategy and start everyone on £12.......2 pounds per race and just take off losing stakes as we go along......
start on £12.......after 2 races 22.00 - James1953 13.50 - DartGuru 13.50 - davethecue 10.00 - tso 10.00 - dean michael 8.00 - Realale 8.00 - Darren Lethem 8.00 - scorer 8.00 - swingaleg 8.00 - jake1981 8.00 - DimSum |
