Anybody Noticed

Has anybody noticed that at the start in the house when the phone rings and they say "the cars will be outside in 20 minute" then you see them all applying mascara, shaving, making breakfast, ironing shirts etc, they can't do all that in 20 minutes, it's obviously longer.

Or the cars arrive in 20 minutes, but they have to wait an extra 40 minutes for them to be ready.

I'm sure this was covered here last series. They are given longer but that is said for dramatic effect.

Yes and I've noticed Steve Tyler's (Aerosmith) love child or him in drag one of the two

In Series 1, there was that occasion where the boys didn't wake the girls up until right before the cars left... how could that have worked if they had longer than it was implied?

Maybe it changed but I find that odd because surely the girls heard the crew arrive to set up the cameras and other such stuff in advance of the phone ringing.

I think that the camera crew (or at least some of them) probably live in the house with them, although anyone who knows different please feel free to correct me. When they first look around the house, there always seems to be a lot of space, and yet they always seem to be crammed into a couple of rooms - I bet at least one bedroom is reserved for the production team. Plus I think they want the morning phone call to be a shock, and if the team had to arrive and set up the cameras first, the candidates would have a bit of time to get themselves together whilst that was happening.

In the last episode, one of the boys was shown making a cup of tea and another one was buttering a muffin. How they had time to get dressed, get into the kitchen and drink/eat hot tea/food in 20 minutes is a mystery!

The phone always seems to be located really far away from the bedrooms as well, meaning that someone had to run down several flights of stairs to answer it and then run back up to wake the others up.

Thats why I think they're likely up already or at least in the process of getting ready when the phone rings, and even if the cars are outside in 20 mins doesn't mean they leave in 20 mins

I also wouldn't be surprised if the person who runs to the phone is set up in advance. TV so fake when you realise how it's all done

Oh yes, of course a lot is set up for television. It just seems a bit odd that none of the former candidates would have mentioned that afterwards. Would you say that that whole thing in Series 1 was set up then, including Miriam asking the boys to tell her the message and them avoiding her in the house?

Of course, realistically the cars wouldn't leave immediately they arrived. After all, what would they do if someone wasn't ready? They can hardly leave them behind, can they? If they did that they'd be absent from the task - and I can't imagine anyone being eliminated from the process just because they were too slow in the morning.
