Bit of a sidenote: seeing as though BT has now bought out EE, does that mean we'll have less of these promotion SIMs? Or will they keep happening?
I doubt there'll be any visible changes for quite some time (other than the BT logo appearing everywhere EE is).

Yeah, I think it will be business as usual at least until the current investment runs out at the end of 2017. Love the fact we kept that 2600 though.

I know this should belong on the other thread, but I'm just wondering: will BT transfer the 2600 across to the EE network (owned by BT), so that all customers, including BT customers, get more capacity and faster speeds? Because BT are/were an MVNO of the EE network, so used EE's 2G/3G/4G network.

Eventually it should be used by EE.

The reason I say 'eventually' is that it seems to be in use already by OnePhone (it pops up on 2600 network searches in some places) and I don't know if there are agreements in place which might prevent EE using it in the short term as BT OnePhone is a BT / OnePhone JV.

The separate BT 2600Mhz has got nothing to do with BT Mobile at present, BT Mobile runs on the EE network spectrum.

I got one of these SIMs in November time. Is it still likely to work? I haven't opened the envelope yet.

My wife is in hospital and having lots of cheap data would be useful.

I doubt it but by sending the trigger SMS Christmas100, you'll soon find out.

Yes, it works! At least I got the text saying I had 200GB over two months. Even if I just get 1GB for £10 it will be worth it.

It's looking as though the Christmas SIM was the last. Had fun though!

What were the previous gaps between one special 2 × 100GB sim and the next?

Not really. There was a large gap between the first one (Ol' Dan and Phil) and the summer one. Fingers crossed.

That's amazing. Before applying the 10 send STOP PACK to 150.

Then apply the promotion. Enjoy.

After two months, top up with a fiver. Use the fifteen quid to buy 3GB.

BT aren’t in control yet, so until that happens, there will still be these special sims on offer by EE.

Cue hundreds of people jumping to this thread in hope of good news... And then hugely let down!

That happens often on the HUKD forums. Whenever someone comments on a 100GB promo thread that I'm subscribed to, I always get excited for a brief period then get massively disappointed.
