Thanks for the heads up! Topped up the SIM today and I now have 100GB of 4G data for 2 months. Fantastic

Further, this was one of the first SIMs they sent out for the Christmas100, and it still topped up fine today

Yeah, the 'activate within two weeks' advice has proved to be nonsense since the start -however the 'activate before two weeks after the end of the promotion' advice is sage.
I'm going to do my last two very shortly. I'd love to drag it out as long as I can but I fear it will terminate at midnight tonight.

Fantastic!

As an aside, I wonder if the Stop Pack command worked, or not... I didn't get a text saying that £10 had been deducted, unlike previous times.

So I think it may have worked:
1) Send stop pack followed by yes
2) Top up £10 on the top up card
3) Send christmas100
4) Done! 100GB activated.

You should have got an SMS back from stopping the pack. You should have got a further SMS advising that your balance is now 10GBP.

In any case, to make sure, just send BAL to 150.

While I think we'd have a few more days, I did my last card now just in case.

Stopped the pack, got no confirmation. Tried again to make sure, got an error so assumed it had worked.

The £10 top up gave me a confirmation though, and the promotion applied.

Wasn't sure it would work as I got a lot of 'serious errors' on the website and had to try multiple times to add the new SIM to my account, to even do the first top up.

I've done about six over the last few days and never have a single problem with any step in the procedure, keeping the credit and getting the data.

Every time I see an email come in from you, I think it's going to be news of the new promotion !

I had no end of hassle with a promotional SIM on my EE account, so I don't bother anymore. The credit card page doesn't work most of the time, so I just buy a top up in WHSmith as a voucher, and dial 150 from the SIM and enter the voucher number. I think you can also text VO and the number.

I don't know why you would bother entering these sims on your accounts. It's simple to do it all from an iPhone, an iPad or even if they're stuck in a Mifi or router, from where you can send the various SMS via the dashboard.

I got a message saying that my balance is £10.

Also got a text saying "you have asked us to stop your pack"...

When I next put my EE SIM into my phone, I'll do the BAL SMS. Should say £10 still - in which case, I can use it for calls and texts (out of the £10, so will last longer than 30 days) and will have the data for 2 months.

After that time, I assume there will be another promotion, in which case I will stock up again.

Btw, you said in another post that you did 6 over the last few days - how is this possible? I thought it was only 2 per household? (Supposed to be 1 per person - just use a different email address for each.)

I applied for two more cards before Christmas and didn't get them. I used new email addresses but wonder if they checked the address this time?

As it turns out, I didn't need them anyway!

There were loads that I ordered to different postal addresses and different electronic addresses -many of them new -where the SIMs just simply never came. The same each time they have this promotion !

There’s always a way around it.

Oh I can assure you they didn't. I did get some more in the dying days of the offer using yet another address. But for some reason EE have taken umbrage against my mother, brother and at least one of my sisters. Compete mystery.

anyone think its worth trying to activate one of these xmas sims today?

tried topping up, spoke to the most idiotic customer rep ever, who hung up on me

he said the offer is over

can anyone confirm they have topped up today? I really don't want to waste £10

I can confirm I rang back, and was able to top it up successfully and get my 200gb promotion

14 days from receiving the SIM is what the T&Cs say, so EE would surely add on a few days (even weeks) to account for delays in the post. Thus, I actually think that people probably still have another week or so in which to activate their cards, but I wouldn't personally risk it.

I topped up online last night at around 2325hrs. Worked but had a text saying one month was nearly up and the second would active automatically. Not sure why says thst, but have another month for £10, I'm happy.

Bit of a sidenote: seeing as though BT has now bought out EE, does that mean we'll have less of these promotion SIMs? Or will they keep happening?
