I have just received an email letting me know that VuTV is closing down next week on 22nd October. Subscriptions will be refunded on a pro rata basis. Email cites viability now that its existing channel agreements are expiring.

I guess this coincides nicely with the new offering from TV Player with its Plus add on which will carry the same channels ( almost ) with some extras.

i was tempted by vutv, but as said its going to close, tv player website is says thats is compatible with manhatten freeview hd box that currently offers vutv - is this a reality? as i was thinking of getting a manhatten box

Aww that's bad news. I was hoping to get a compatible Freeview HD box to get this service but now there seems no point.

Trialed it when it first came out. It wasn't anything that spectacular, even worse picture quilty than NowTV (using a 50mb connection). You are better off imo putting the money on a NowTV enterainment pass.

Or TV Player Plus. More channels and smaller monthly cost. Also IP based on Freeview.
