But three threads all spouting the same thing !! It's unnecessary and boring for God's sake. You're entitled to have an opinion about Len, but stop posting about it !

You don't know me well enough, your just trying to come out what you perceive in me. I am a fan of the show, but I don't like the direction it's going in.

"In other words, a scripted show"

That's why they have writers.

Well leave it at that katt, the reason why I said that is probably because of the atmosphere on BBUK and that it can be parallel to SCD at times. There are some similarities like the audience creating their own sound effects, booing, cheering and applause. The only thing is different is on BBUK chanting is allowed and on SCD isn't.

Sent you a message to explain things.

For everyone's info I have an autistic spectrum disorder, telling me to give it a rest and put a sock in it isn't helpful to me. It's because I probably don't have much other options other than to rant on a forum about len. What I should do to vent my spleens really is to write to the BBC if I'm not happy of how len works and that. Already taken him to OFCOM as I wasn't happy with his unacceptable behaviour to giovanni.

As Elsa said it's probably the direction he's been given, at the same time he's on borrowed time as well because he doesn't do DWTS anymore.

If you have that disorder then stop using it as an excuse. You seem to know how to resolve matters but instead you've started yet another thread. I think spamming a board is against the rules whether you are on the autism spectrum disorder or not. I can claim similar dispensation myself.

The mods haven't locked this thread, so what they think I've posted is valid. I thought I'd enlighten people of my circumstances, should have really done it in a pm term though.

I agree a think he's a bully and says some really nasty things. He should have stuck his knife into Giovanni last week. He's new and he shouldn't have picked on him. And the way he treated Pixie last year was completely out of order too. I don't like any of the judges. They really need to change the line up

Maggie, not having a pop, but saying 'if you have that disorder stop using it as an excuse' is a bit like saying if you have OCD stop cleaning/turning the lights on or off etc.

With any aspect of Austism or Aspergers, any topic can be obsessive. I used to manage a guy who had Aspergers who became obsessed with a deceased artist...he used to stay awake all night to win their prints in auctions online.

So, whilst I appreciate you find Tall Paul's posts frustrating, please have some understanding to his condition...it's not something he can avoid or ignore..it's a real compulsion that he has to endure.

None of the judges bother me. They can all stay.

I record the programme and fast-forward through their contributions, I find the show far more enjoyable without their constant "grandstanding," which gets more annoying each year.

Yes, I wonder how many more "Len is horrible", "I hate Len", "Len must go", "Why do the BBC employ Len?", "Len is rude", Len is nasty", "Len is too old", "Len is unprofessional" and "Len is a bully" threads Tall Paul is going to create?

I know. It's getting rather sad now.

I don't mind Len, Bruno is the judge I would rather see go.

I like them all. I think the composition of the judging team is the best they have had and perfect for a Saturday night light entertainment show. Personally I wouldn't mind some far more serious and technical critique but I don't think that will happen for a tea time family show and I completely understand why that should be.

As it is there are four distinct characters (caricatures if you like) each of whom plays their part very well. The evidence of how convincingly the roles are played is that Len has convinced so many that he is a bit grumpy. The point is having contrast to entertain a mass audience.

You could do whatever the opposite of dumbing down is and it would appeal more to the cognoscenti. But a 6pm Saturday night show is not made for experts, nerds or aficianados, its made for mass appeal.. Or you could have all four panelists heaping on praise and adulation and make the whole thing a sickly sweet lovey fest. Probably equally unappealing. We know from years of TV that light and shade is what works for mass appeal. For some reason we like to see a bit of suffering.

Why go to the bother of going into it posting on it then

Becasuse she obviously wants to and so do I.

It's not always de rigueur to post in threads that one likes or agrees with.

What would be the point of the forum?

Surely it's a place to debate and engage. No

I don't watch Strictly, but I can't stand the bloke. He's also a DJ on Radio 2.

He sounds like a bin man dragged off the street.
