Favourite Candidate - Week 1/2
Alex_McNamee
16-10-2015
Starting to do a weekly thing of "favourite candidates" to see how they evolve over time. If you don't have a favourite or have 1+ favourites, just choose the one you think did best after that episode.

Didn't see a point in doing it separately for episode one and two - sorry if you disagree!

Vana and David

None of them stood out in the first episode, but David's now my early favourite thanks to his enthusiastic direction of the boy's ad last night.

Mark was my favourite last year from early on, so maybe David can follow him and win the whole thing!

Vana and David for me too, ironically the only other 3 to stand out were Dan, Aisha and Ruth. But I don't see Lord Suggs realistically working with Ruth so I'm not gonna be getting too attached to her.

Was torn between Ruth and Vana, but plumped for Ruth because she seems to be a) genuinely nice and b) genuinely enthusastic, a rare, rare combination for Apprentice candidates.

Why don't you see him working with her? I realise that he hasn't gone for many older people in the past, but in fairness most of them (Matthew, Mani, Jaz) have shown early on that they aren't very good, whereas Ruth has come across very well so far.

Charleine! I'm really taken by her. Ruth is a close second.

It's not her age, it's that she seems like a slightly more out-there type of person, and I get the sense his Lordship would find that sort of thing draining for lack of a better word.

Agreed 100%. I think she'll probably get one of those Jason or Lucinda firings where he actually does like her, but thinks she's just too much work for him.

Hmm, I suppose I do see that point. Anyone can be surprising though. Jason was a pleasant person, but I don't think he was ever really a serious contender. Maybe in Week 7 when he brought in some amazing sales, but on all the other tasks he just seemed like a joke.

As for Lucinda, although she was talented the others found her difficult to work with when she wasn't the Project Manager. I seem to recall that was one of the main reasons that she was fired. No one seems to have complained that Ruth is difficult to work with.

Ruth for me. None of the others are standing out just yet (for the right reasons)

Apologies - "forgot" to include Dan and Aisha! (Didn't think they'd be relevant, then realised my mistake)
When I do this thread again next week, I'll include the fired candidate as well.
