Does anyone think that Helen George wears a wig? I can't decide - her hair doesn't look real to me.

I don't know if its a wig or just really bad extensions, but it does sit oddly like a wig. She looks so much better with the crop she normally has.

I thought it might be extensions as she had it in a pony tail in training. She had very short hair in the last series of Midwife. Hair only grows about 6 inches a year doesn't it?

She has hair extensions for Strictly and takes them out for CTM - it was in the Radio Times a few weeks back

I wish she'd keep the extensions out. She is beautiful with her short hair.

It does look strangely unreal. She's great though.

As reported by the reputable broadsheets: The Daily Star, The Daily Mail and The Sun!

Her hair just doesn't sit right.....but it's probably the amount of extensions in it!

She looks much better with shorter hair.

I also think make-up are doing a bit of a hatchet job on her. There are times when she looks like a boiled egg with eyebrows painted on it's that severe.

I think its a combination of things that makes it look like a wig. Its too pale a blonde for her skin tone with little to no variation of shading, making it look flat and unnatural in colour. It doesn't look like a good cut either. The heavy fringe would look better with a few more layers. Extensions are the worst invention ever for making women think they look better when more often than not they actually detract from natural beauty

Its not a good look on her really. It would look so much better shorter with layers and honey tones through it.

Strictly Hair and Make-up do have a weird talent for making some contestants look worse than they do in the training room Some, like Katie, are made to look great every week, but they always seem to get it wrong with Helen (and I don't think they do Kellie or Kirstie any favours either).
