Huge fan of Katy and can't wait to watch her Prismatic Tour again on the Dvd. It is the best concert I have been to so far. I would love to see Katy announce a Stadium tour in the next few years . She has the fan base and her shows will be very well suited to Stadiums. I always feeel a act or Artist have truly made it when you complete your first Stadium tour.

What do you guys reckon?
You think she is ready for one?

Not sure If she has enough stage presence for a Stadium Tour. She certainly has enough big hits and thumping tunes but I really don't know if it would be the route to go down. Stadiums are getting less and less popular for artists as they are notoriously hard to sell out. Costs of stadium tours has risen due to H&S insurance etc, etc, and people don't want to pay out higher prices to be stuck at the back of a stadium seeing virtually nothing especially when they can instantly watch it on media around the world.
Lady Gaga was at the peak of her popularity and she really struggled to sell especially in central and south Americas markets, and European dates.

I don't think she would even get close to selling out a stadium. Madonna struggled to in 2012

To be honest though arena tours are so much better. I would go back to Murrayfield again because the layout is in a circle so most people at least get a decent view. Hampden is horrible. I saw p!nk there in 2010 and the layout is just stage at the front and then audience right back. I was so far back I could barely see

I would rather everyone just do arenas

Sorry but I don't agree that she isn't big enough . Her albums sell over 4 million plus. She has a huge fan base already and she has more then enough stage presence to fill a Stadium floor. Acts and bands have sold far less then Katy and performed Stadium tours

I don't think she would sell out stadiums at all. Also, stadiums really show off a person's voice due to their size. I think a stadium would completely swallow her up as she doesn't have a great voice anyway. The only ones who I think could sell out stadiums are Beyonce (she's a touring artist now and her Super Bowl performance proved that she would absolutely kill a stadium concert), Taylor Swift (I don't get the fuss over her, but her fan bar is gigantic). Also, I'm not a fan of her but I think Madonna also could. I know she's failed to sell out concerts recently but I think that's due to the bad organisation of the tour/tickets and the fact that her tickets are so expensive...if she sorted that out she'd be fine I think. Beyonce I think will be the next to do stadiums...she's already tested the waters with stadium concerts such as Chime For Change which involved other artists too but it was obvious most were there to see her! Super Bowl proved she can pull of stadiums and when she performed at Glastonbury she had 175,000 people watching her set. I reckon on her next tour she will do arenas but will add a few stadiums too...that's the smart thing to do to begin with. Oh, also her and Jay z recently performed in stadiums on their joint tour...although it would have been two fan bases, it was a good way to test the water and it definitely worked.

Dont get me wrong she is a huge star, but she would nevr sell out say the staples centre or any stadium in europe not many can people can. I love Katy but she is an arena not a stadium artist.

Pink could, and has. She was incredible on her stadium tour. Rihanna on the other hand was terrible. She didn't have a big enough stage presence.

I think Katy Perry could easily. It's not just about the music in situations like that, the artist has to have a great audience connection, and Katy is fantastic on her tours when it comes to audience rapport.

Katy Perry's live vocals are so weak that she would absolutely be swallowed up by a stadium. I don't think she would sell out either unless she came back with another huge album with two or three hits.

No she didn't... that was the total number of people at the festival and they have dozens of stages. The Rolling Stones had the biggest crowd ever for a Glasto headliner and their crowd was nowhere near that size!
