Tony is leaving
Terence had his leaving party last night, he's a great character.Apologies if there's already a thread about this I couldn't see one. |

Shame, as I was really liking the Grimshaw set up.
I wonder if Todd will leave soon aswell?

Oh that's a shame, he's been a good character. Wonder if his exit is linked to the eventual disposal of Callum's corpse? Maybe he gets roped in to helping them get rid but ends up going down for the murder.

Tony and Jason should have committed the crime of killing Callum

According to this article, hes already filmed his final scenes which feature him and Liz ![]() "His exit will be seen on screen later this year in a storyline understood to be connected to his betrayal of ex-girlfriend Liz McDonald, played by Beverley Callard, who his final scenes were filmed with." |

I love Tony, one of the few Stuart Blackburn creations to work. Surprised people are quitting (assuming he has made the decision himself) now that a decent producer is coming in. I'd be inclined to stick it out if it was me!

Gutted that Tony is gone. Terence Maynard has been a wonderful addition to the cast and made Tony a believable alpha male, when they're really thin on the ground these days in Corrie. I was really liking the unlikely partnership that he had been striking up with Todd as well.

Me too, I was hoping after the announcement of Ryan Thomas leaving, Tony would become more integrated with the Grimshaw family (Eileen, Todd) under KO but now hes gone too. Another good addition to the cast lost while the likes of Sean and the Nazirs remain. |

Knew he was going when this story about him joining a panto appeared in May.
http://coronationstreetupdates.blogs...ns-up-for.html The Corrie actors can't do both because of their contracts so he would have had to leave. It's a shame because as others have said he was one of the few new characters that actually worked! |

I wonder whether, before he goes, he'll remember that he owns at least half of the pub? And the junk shop.

Too bad. He is one of the best actors on Corrie right now. I will miss him and Jason.

a shame - one of the few (only??) strong male characters on the street. We need strong Len Fairclough, Bill Webster, Owen Armstrong types to balance out the many weak / camp ones

weak = camp? speaks volumes! I don't think Corrie has many weak actors, they have a good cast, its the writing that lets them down the live shows this |
