My guess is Daniel is a nice guy and she'll miss working with him. I can see them being friends now they are out of the show. His comment about people not knowing how nice she really is probably didn't help because she's been through a rough time (and it's not over either).
I agree with this .
Daniel has been a revelation . One of my favourites gone .
As for Kristina , she's only human like all of us and the relentless crap about her must drag her down at times .
Beautiful last dance , perfect song .

Not shocked. More shocked about people thinking he has the fanbase to win. He's hardly a household name.
I've always struggled with the concept of "fanbase" for anyone tbh. Time and again people are surprised when someone with this alleged thing is in the bottom 2. It's impossible to prove such a thing exists unless you asked everyone who votes who they like. I think it's just a trope that's used to explain when someone you don't particularly support gets through.

The red headed dancer was Neil Jones. He's a champion Latin dancer and has been helping a lot with the choreography this series (and apparently the dancing). His wife Katya stood in for Joanne and danced with Brendan last week in the pro number. I have a feeling one or both of them will be pros next year. Well not a strong feeling - but maybe.
Ah thanks for the info.

I think the person who decided to pair the paso doble with U2 is probably getting fired Monday morning. And so is the person who put the tango with New Order.
What about the quickstep to New Generation? I had to mute.

Ireland kicked out of the rugby world cup and now DOD out of Strictly!!

Some Guinness will be consumed tonight!
You've still got McGuinness to cheer along

Neil Jones auditioned to be a pro but wasn't selected, at least not yet, which angered James Jordan because he thinks there should be more British pros (which Neil is.) Wife Katya is Asian I think, but from Russia? They just won a world championship in Moscow, just in the last couple weeks.

Jay comes across Shy and Nervous.

For Kirsty it just does not translate for me. No emotion from her. Plus I feel she probably wants to go home anyway. Hopefully she impresses us all next week.
I can safely say that she doesn't want to go home. Just because someone doesn't overtly show emotions, it doesn't necessarily mean they don't have any!

DOD really is sending me to sleep - he sounds as if he is 90
I googled his age and was very surprised it wasn't a lot more.

Why do they keep up this charade of pretending the results are live: last night, Saturday, bla bla bla....
I have always wondered that myself. If they want to record it on the same night to save money, fine, but when they say, "Let's recap last night's action",it's just daft.

I think most people who watch it know it's not live, and the result is easy enough to find out on the internet on the Saturday night if you want to.

It reminds me a bit of when Bruce Forsyth used to do all those game shows and come out at the start and say, "What a great audience! So much better than last week's",and it always got a laugh.

Of course they used to film three or four shows in one go, so it was the same audience.

I'm surprised he never used the same gag on the Sunday night Strictly results show: "What a great audience! So much better than last night's,", but maybe the BBC wouldn't have liked it.

I bet Daniel is relieved to go home. I think Kirsty, Carol, and Ainsley have about had enough as well.

Kirsty seems too concerned with not making a fool of herself. That sort rarely come good.

Exactly. I always wonder if they go "cut" when someone inadvertently says "earlier", "this evening"

I'm genuinely quite sad that Daniel went out, I never thought I'd take to him but he seems a very warm gentleman and I liked his partnership with Kristina. Its made me see them both in a different light and I think they'll be missed. His parting words were lovely!

The problem with Daniel is that he seems so old. He is everyone's granddad and only 53. I bet he was that boy in primary school who was already an old man

Ah thanks for the info.
I would be surprised if Neil and Katya are pro's on the show as early as next year, they have only just turned Pro and were finalists at this years International. I would think they feel they have more to prove as competitor at the moment. Bound to be National Champions again next month. Interesting thought though

Such a shame that Daniel messed up in the dance off as I would much rather Kirsty had gone home. At least Daniel was oddly endearing and funny but Kirsty doesn't even have that to make up for her awkward dancing. She just doesn't have a personality that comes over well on reality TV.

One thing I admire about Kristina is that whoever her partner is, she never 'half-arses' it like some of the other pros. She always looks completely invested and I thought the way she bonded with Daniel was really nice.

BIB yes! I totally get that with her, she does seem lovely. Mind you, she's learned from the John Sargeant (can NEVER spell that!) experience that the GBP vote in mysterious ways so she'd better get them moving early on even if they can't dance to save their lives

James Jordan said Neil auditioned for Strictly though, but didn't make it, so sounds like he wants the job now.

Predictable 'random' announcing the stronger dancer first for the dance off (based on the judges) and keeping Jay until late on.

Brendan did a good job on the results show. Very supportive in the right way. I was impressed with how fit Brendan was when he started this Series and he seemed to be well motivated.

Good attitude from Kirsty and an improved performance.

I hope they get good music this week, Kirsty has enough training time and a dance that suits her, so we see what Kirsty can do. ie. something similar to the opportunity Jamelia just had and took.

Well, it seemed like before the dance off, he accidentally started doing his speech, before being corrected by Tess.

The things he said after being booted were different, and perhaps spontaneous.

Well he also has a bit of a "so long, farewell" ramble after his first dance, in the Clauditorium. I dunno... Maybe he just thought his time would be up ...

I noticed they didn't do a close up of him with the second round of winners. We just saw Aliona's hand
