Don't worry, I'm not considering treating our rabbits to marshmallows. I've caught my daughter feeding one of our rabbits marshmallows through the hutch.

I'm aware that they have very sensitive digestive systems and I'm just wondering whether this is something to worry about or not. The vets are closed for calls except emergencies now so I thought I'd ask here before consulting them.

Just thought I'd update this as I called the vet anyway. The rabbit should be fine as there aren't any toxic substances in them, just have to watch for digestive problems due to the high sugar content.

Awwwww bless!

Would have had no idea on the toxicity of marshmallows, glad the vet said they are alright and the bunny will be fine though

Nor did they, they had to look it up. The vet actually laughed and said "we've had people call with their kids feeding all sorts of stuff to rabbits, but never marshmallows".

Rabbits are delicate with their digestive system though and a lot of stuff can be very, very bad for them. So you have to be careful with them. But yeah, he should be fine though

Yeah I'd have said be careful more because of the sugar content if a rabbit was to eat them regularly. It'd rot their teeth for starters.
