Ideas for the first task

For a while now, I've felt like they're running out of ideas for the first task. They always have to sell something (usually something they've created, occasionally something they've bought or which has been provided for them)... Does anyone have any ideas for things they haven't done?

They've had flowers, fruit, coffee, fish, cleaning businesses, cheese, sausages, vegetable-based meals, ice cream, branded and printed items, recycled and tailored clothes, miscellaneous items from a box, everything from the past ten years and now fish-based dishes.

They've never done sandwiches, I think that could be a good one. I was just talking to a friend who suggested doing something really random, like developing and selling a line of stationery.

How about selling Amstrad emailers or that 'beauty treatment' monstrosity that they lumbered on Tim as his prize in S1.

Or selling amsheads, talking figures of Lord Sugar which say his most famous quotes. "You're a Lightweight, You're Fired!"

Maybe designing and selling simple homeware products like cushion covers, inspiration quote pictures etc

They would probably sell.

I think a gardening business would be a good idea where they had a corporate task to pitch for to do and then line up other jobs. Would be a change from the commodity selling which it has often been other than the cleaning task in series 5.

They did that on the first task of The Apprentice Australia.

The first task this year is actually a pretty good idea of the candidates as they have to negotiate then process and finally sell the product and as such does show a lot of the candidates skill set and can reveal flaws like you are in a financial market but can't add 2+2 etc
