Anyone else experiencing poor sound quality on HD?

It's ok on normal. Glad I am not recording it.

I turned the tv volume up because I couldn't hear properly then when Anita's dance started it nearly burst my eardrums.

Same for me....I turned it up to 70....(bearing in mind 25 is fairly loud......) to compensate and then it came back............I want to know the name of the person responsible? Was it at the BBC end? I need to know cos my neighbours need compensating

I thought I was going deaf until I switched to ITV HD..........

Yep, I heard the poor sound as soon as it started.

I decided initially to put up with it and crank the volume up. Then I thought I would put my sky box off and turn it back on, volume levels restored Although, I had to almost immediately crank the volume down from its ridiculously high level at around 90!

Mine too!

My Daughter was kicking off and blaming it on the sky box but I knew it wasn't.

I had very low sound on Sky HD. SD BBC1 on Sky was fine, although as usual the picture was unwatchable.

BBC1 HD on Freeview was fine. Didn't try SD.

Very poor show by the BBC, what with the picture breakup at the end which seemed to happen across the board. I thought that was just Sky.

I series link the BBC Northern Ireland feed as the audio on that is generally fine.

Not the first time BBC One HD has had tinny, weak sound during Strictly. Amazed it's still happening.
