Why is Tess never negative ?

Really annoying. If someone is crap she still says "we all loved it", and other rubbish like that. Why can't she just be impartial and say it like it is ?

Because it is not her job to judge the dances. It is her job to present and ensure all the celebs get the best sell from her.

Because it's not in the script. If it's not in the script she doesn't say it apart from "they're on their fee "

Isn't saying everyone loved it judging it too though ?

She doesn't need to be negative, but she needs to tone it down a bit. When she bellows "still good for week 4!!" she just sounds like a drunk auntie on the sofa.

That's her job.

How is that being negative It seems encouraging even though it's not always true. On the contrary, she is always positive.

It's not her job to be critical. Her positivity is designed to act against whatever negativity the judges may have.

Being Tess is negative enough

She's negative towards the judges sometimes, but why on earth should she be negative towards the dancers?

Because sometimes it is true. If someone really messes up she still says everyone loved it and people are on their feet. All she needs to say is "you did mess up sadly, but nevermind" or something middle ground like that. But she will say "that was great, we loved it".

I can see the headlines now....

"Well you all loved it, and so did the judges, but me, I thought it was shyte. Over to you Claud..."

She's less annoying than a certain old codger with his frequent "You're my favourite."

Actually, I think all who watch the show can find something of merit in every performance, we don't all have to be as critical as the judges, for them, well for me anyway, it's just an entertaining show.

It is her job to be "on the side" of the dancers. How many years have you been watching this show? Can you remember Bruce telling anyone their dancing was crap?

She doesn't watch the dances so how would she know?

Perfect, that is how she should be, that would give her credibility to me

However, when the judges hate it, she still loves it.

Well the judges are there for that, though Darcey seems the best at it.

I don't mind her being positive for all the contestants, regardless of how they dance, but for the love of god, can she stop with the interrupting during judges comments? It's so distracting and irritating. She may be the main presenter but she doesn't need to talk for talking's sake.

Ah, well, that would be piling misery on misery, and risking the vote income to boot
