4) Tess is as hopeless as ever

5) Loved Ainsley & Natalie and Jeremy Karen , the two of them still making me smile

Okay - bring on the backlash but here goes

1. Believe Anton and Katie on top because she didn't fall over on the turns
2. Still love Jay
3.

1) Anton top of the leaderboard - who'd have thought

2) Back to weird choreography from Aliona

3) So many improvements tonight

4) Love Jeremy - so entertaining

5) Time for Kirsty to go I reckon

1. Jeremy and Daniel are great fun
2. Kirsty is so NOT enjoying the SCD experience
3. Poor Jay so upset and in fairness made no excuses or complained about his knee injury - Judges were a bit harsh on him
4. Jamelia was fabulous - should be safe
5. Voting inconsistent

1) Ghastly music choices.
2) Really enjoyed Jamelia's dance - hate to use the 'j' word but she is learning and improving.
3) Don't usually like this sort of things, but Gleb is a bit of a loose canon and a show off and I like that, it makes for lively viewing.
4) I thought Jay and Aliona minght have capsized under the pressure of last week's brilliance - and they did.
5) I like Daniel!!

Okay bring on the backlash but here goes

1. Katie and Anton not that great. She managed all the turns without falling over but not that much finesse

2. Still love Jay - he's trying too hard

3. Kirsty go home

4. Jamelia - all over the place - good job it was a Charleston where all over the place is a plus point.

5. Love Ainsley - think he can do anything and make it look good.

1- kirsty takibg it too seriously, hope she's out soon
2- not a fan but Carol improved this week
3 - Have a bad feeling that Anton will make it to the final
4- Gleb made it about him, didn't like that and Anita deserved better
5-Kellie does nothing for me

1. Jamelia & Tristan's Charleston was very good, although I wasn't keen on the song.

2. Anton & Katie danced the kind of VW we used to see on the show years ago and it brought back some lovely memories - SO glad to see them at the top of the leaderboard.

3. For the first time this series I thought the music choices were generally dreadful.

4. Natalie wins the best dress this week by miles.

5. Jay fans are getting on my nerves. If he makes mistakes that Joe Public like me can see, then he gets marked down. Simple.

PS 5a. Daniel is the celeb I thought I wouldn't like and but he's a sweetheart.

1. Anita was undermarked, deserved no lower than 7s and possible a couple of 8s.
2. Katie does the most beautiful pivots.
3. Jamelia gained my vote...great improvement and came across well.
4. Craig was harsh on Jay, but wish he would should some damn emotion. He's makes DOD look like Biggins.
5. As much as I want Kirsty to be better, she's struggling.

I hope I don't derail the thread but as I'm one who's moaning about the Jay situation - I think he was marked pretty fairly but others (the stragglers) were marked too highly. Whilst he should have been marked down, was he really at the same level as Carol, Daniel and Jeremy???

1) Daniel O'Donnell could do with a couple of double espressos before the show.

2) I regard myself as extremely broad-minded but I did think Helen's dress was way too short. I know she was playing the slutty nurse but it was getting a bit to close to gynecology.

3) A quickstep to The Who?

4) A tango to Blue Monday?

5) Claude is brilliant.

Haven't noticed tbh, it was more during the show thread. Honestly, I haven't noticed anybody in particular!

Bonus 6 - Gleb is 2004-2006 era Brendan, with better abs. If Gleb continues this trajectory, we have roughly 5 years before he enters the 'Martyr Gleb' phase and 7 before he hits full '*teary eyed* this girl" Gleb.

1. The show overdid all the stuff about Jay's dance last week and it was bound to put too much pressure on him. Despite the mistakes I think a 5 was too harsh, but I suspect TPTB may be aware of all the moaning that the competition was 'over' after last week and so went a bit too far the other way.

2. Helen's costume was a bit cheap and nasty and I felt like I was watching a different dance to the judges. She has odd legs and feet and did the same bow-legged thing she did in her cha-cha.

3. Loved Katie and Anton's dance - it felt like the 'old days' of Strictly when people started and finished the dance on the floor without doing a mad run to a waiting chaise longue/cloud/flying car at the end.

4. Didn't understand the 9 for Georgia's dance, but maybe they didn't want it to look like Len has something against Giovanni after last week.

5. Jamelia was so much better this week and it was nice to see Tristan looking more invested as well. Nice to see her so happy at her scores.

Good point, agreed with the Helen comments as well.

1. Helen did by far the best (proper) latin dance of the night. Who would have thought that a salsa might become her special latin dance?
2. Jay came crashing down to earth this week, even I noticed the clear mistakes. The total journey contestant this year
3. Jamelia and Georgia really improved, while Anita seems to be hitting a ceiling (Gleb specials aside, her legs were much stiffer then Helen's; whatever one might tell me).
4. Katie probably deserved the top spot, even though that VW was not perfect by any means.
5. Surely this has do have been Kirsty's last Strictly dance? Please???

1. Loved Katie and Anton's routine.

2. Not sure about some of the judges, marking tonight. According to them Georgia is only 1 mark better than Jeremy, and that can't be right!?!

3. Just wished, wished, wished that the public can see the real Kirsty and see how fun and adorable she is.

4. Love Georgia and Giovanni as a pairing.

5. Judges need to mark on what they see rather than what they expect to see. Jay wasn't as bad as they made out.

1. I enjoyed Helen's dance for those awesome lifts, and how she throws herself into it (also I feel like they were cosplaying as Pamela and James, which I can't help but appreciate) but those shimmies she did were crushingly awful. I thought she was being tasered.
2. Anton demolishes all in his path, he reigneth over all.
3. Katie's daughters are marvellous. 'TRAGIC.'
4. Kellie and Kevin were being nice and normal and sedate.... and then Kevin makes a big show of mock-taking his shirt off right at the last moment. Ah well.
5. Jay's got a redemption dance for the final all sewn up.

Anita wasn't overmarked, that wasn't a great Samba, in fact I didn't know what it was for a bit. Scores fair. I like her, but Gleb needs to teach her more tech and make it less about him.

G and G were very good, lovely light QC

Loved Kellie and Kevin's Fox, beautifully and gently done, lovely feet, understated and charming.

So pleased for Anton and Katie, loved the song, and the dance, the dress with it's 'nylon blanket' skirt, was a bit of a let down.

Nat looked astonishingly beautiful tonight, and I'm pleased with Ainsley.

(Poor Jay, Aliona's choreo was weird an' all, never mind, next week...)

Really made me laugh. I actually did an impromptu impression of the shimmies - was at a family do tonight - hilarious. I like Helen, but she's not there yet with the Latin, getting there though.

1) Didn't think Katie and Anton were "LEADER BOARD TOPPING" great. It was a lovely routine but she was quite skippy and didn't look as comfortable as she did in tango.
2) On the upside did we get through an entire viennese waltz segment without anyone mentioning the word "dizzy"?!!!
3) They did speed up Reach, thank god.
4) Jay fail. Oh well, I guess he can have another bash at it in the final
5) Kellie and Kevin were great but they need to do something that isn't "nice" or "sweet" soon or I'm gonna stop voting for them despite her being a good dancer. Dirty filthy rumba, raunchy argentine tango, fiery paso doble please!

Bonus: Still love Jeremy Vine. I look forward to him every week!

1. I like Gleb's specials.

2. Pasha in a polo neck? Is he still carrying a little holiday weight?

3. Jay didn't say 'it's quick and has lots of steps' once. For that I commend him.

4. I didn't watch Carol dance at all, I just listened to the music and imagined Austin.

5. Helen was my favourite this week, but wtf did they do to her hair?

bonus 6. Georgina has a nice rack.

Do you mean wasn't undermarked?

Admittedly the marking doesn't infuriate me quite as much as on Dancing with the Stars but I wish the judges (bar Craig) would remember that they have a panel below 5.
