1) Some dreadful music choices yet again. How could anyone dance a Paso to that? Nor was I convinced by Jay's. And I cannot help but think that people dancing the waltz would find it easier if the drummer and bassist gave them a recognisable waltz rhythm.
2) Scoring less erratic than usual. Only one we didn't pretty much guess was Carol (see (3).
3) Though Carol was robbed. That dance was a revelation - attitude, movement, musicality. But she only got faint praise and poor scores. Deserved better.
4) Can't make my mind up over Jay. Is he as some would have it the "ringiest ringer ever" on Strictly, all the way to faking nerves and introducing convenient errors so as not to lose public support for being too good. Or is he exactly what he appears to be - a guy with a lot of dance training (so excellent balance, coordination, spotting etc) who is being very well trained and choreographed but perhaps overpushed?
5) Yay, Anton! So pleased for him. (That number is a nine, Anton. In case you don't remember as I'm sure it's been a while) In Ballroom she is mightly. So I'm torn between hoping they avoid the Samba or Rumba for a while (the remaining dances of death) or hope they get them out of the way now whilst there are still some not-so-good dancers around.
